If it is just an informal agreement and not a protective order, then, that is meaningless. Sounds to me like the mother is trying to make him look guilty.

But it's not meaningless. Because if he did not agree to it LE would have taken it further and he knows it.

Knew one of the pics on JM's FB page looked familiar. I *believe* it's Holy Hope cemetery on W Ft Lowell and Oracle. Shows the mountain skyline and palm trees. No significance, but it's been bugging me! That is all.

I doubt that LE would release any details of possible evidence found at the scene before they've had ample time to consider their findings. :moo:

But I don't think they'd confirm on the record that *nothing* was found... unless nothing was found. Police in this case have certainly withheld a lot of information, but they seem to be going out of their way to point out when they can't say something rather than simply lying about it.

I think that since the police said unequivocally that nothing was found that nothing was found. If the police wanted to keep their options open, they easily could have said that they couldn't comment or didn't yet know if anything of interest was found.

Early on, in an interview, a tearful friend of RC stated that they "have been together since they were...teenagers."

I heard that snippet on HLN yesterday too. But it seems odd since they are 6 years apart. If they were teens, it was not at the same time. If she was 18, then he was 24. And so on. In other words, they were not hogh school sweethearts, because when she was in her first year of high school, he would have been in his sophomore year of college. :what:

DH and I (41 years next month) had a discussion about the "high school sweetheart" thing last night. I was a senior in high school when we met, but DH was a sophomore in college. We didn't really have a relationship until we were both university students, so we always tell folks that "we were college sweethearts". That said, I attended a very small, parochial high school where many couples dated in high school, went their separate ways after graduation, but ended up marrying several years later. I would consider them to have been "high school sweethearts" because that is when the relationships began even if they weren't continuous. :moo:

How late did the D-backs game run on Friday 4/20? Midnight seems awfully late for a baseball game unless it was on a DVR. i would have just checked the scores online rather than watch the game. I wonder if LE checked the DVR.

I'm guessing he would have had to record it because it started before 7 and was a blow out, Braves won 9-1 I believe.

Not saying that I buy into the theory wholeheartedly, but I do feel like this case seems like more than a straight "dad did it", and it seems like there is some precedence for children being taken by cartels and then released. Can't hurt to consider some "out there" theories. A couple of links and article excerpts below:

http://articles.latimes.com/2008/oct/20/nation/na-kidnap20

http://www.livesecure.org/kidnappin...ia-boy-may-be-related-to-mexican-drug-cartel/

...Many cities in the U.S. have experienced an increase in Mexican drug cartel-related activities, to include kidnappings. The use of kidnappings for ransom and even for revenge purposes has caused Phoenix, Arizona, to be second only to Mexico City as the kidnapping capitol of the world. While some U.S. authorities will acknowledge approximately 200 stranger abductions in America last year, others point out that there were over 370 “known or reported” kidnappings in Phoenix last year alone!

Meanwhile, in the case of missing 3-year-old Briant Rodriguez, investigators must consider drug-related activities as a possible motive for his kidnapping, this as the overall statistics concerning such events would seem to support such a theory. For Rodriguez, like Cole Puffinburger and many before them, the clock is ticking against investigators and once again the life of a young boy hangs in the balance. If drugs and drug cartels are involved, there may be secret negotiations going on between family members, the authorities, and the cartel members to bring about the safe release of young Briant. It appears, however, that Mexican drug cartels are here in the U.S. to stay, and kidnappings such as these are just the tip of the ever growing iceberg that looms across the southern part of America, slowly encroaching, like the ice age, across our entire country.

UPDATE: 5/16/09: Little Briant Rodriguez was recovered alive and well wandering the streets of Mexicali, a town just south of the US/Mexican border. His head had been shaved, apparently to change his appearance from the photographs being used to find him, this while investigators were allegedly closing in on his kidnappers. What remains to be determined is the motive for his kidnapping and the reason his kidnappers released him.

These numbers are over inflated. While this made HUGE news that Phoenix was the kidnapping capital the news of it being false did not.

I honestly feel it was a political move, much like mentioning the several decapitated bodies found in the Arizona desert that never actually existed. But that is completely my opinion.

I've thought the dad was guilty since he publicly spoke about Isabel and I posted it here. His public plea sounded so fake, staged, and acted!! Unbelievable..

They were looking for evidence in the wash, not necessarily Isa, correct?

I am thinking RC is just now understanding there may be a monster in her and Isa's life. JMO Sending a prayer to her.

Ive been driving around the golf links and alvernon/swan/craycroft/wilmot area since this happened. Just because I had this feeling. I never saw anyone out there searching..not to say they didnt, but they didnt make it such a big deal as they have today. It always talking about the area around the neighborhood... I could be wrong but I think them making a big deal about searching it today is because of something that has come to light

I'm throwin my hat into the ring....

For me, the 911 call...first 3 sentences...

911 Operator: "What's your emergency?"
Sergio Celis: "I want to report a missing person. My little girl who's 6-years-old. I believe she was abducted from our house."
911 Operator: "Why do you think she was abducted?
Sergio Celis: "I have no idea. We woke up this morning and went to go get her up, start her baseball game, and she's gone. I woke up my sons, I, we looked everywhere in the house, and my oldest son noticed that her window was wide open and the screen was laying in the backyard. We've looked all around the house."

Who says "abducted" in a 911 call??? And, then, says "I have no idea" when asked why.
Maybe it's just me...I know people use different terms and deal with things more calmly than others...but, THEN, he's tellin a story!!
Went to get her up...start her baseball game...woke the boys up....whaaaat??? REALLY????
Listen to Cindy Anthony's 911 call....IMO, now THAT'S a 911 call.

Again...only just IMO.

IMO, this was a miscommunication.

The operator askes Sergio why he thought she was abducted, as in why do you think she is abducted (instead of she may have left the house on her own walking to her grandparents house for example)

Sergio thinks she asks why she is abducted as in, for what reason would anyone abduct her, to that he says he has no idea and then informs the operator of the situation of that morning. IMO

yep..a monster:( I think from the tone of the brothers voice on the 911 he has almost a guilty feeling, not because he did anything himself but maybe had a feeling something had not been right

Not sure if its same camp area, but there was(is) a camper site that is actually on DM property. IIrc, it was called something like Agave Gulch Family Camp,... If they are one and the same, then the land is part of DM .

Having lived on numerous bases in my life....there is often campsites near bases...especially when they are in locations were people may vaca or passthru. And well, many people LOVE the sound of jets and like to watch them, so they get as close as they can.

This is a good reason why one might see campers near an Air Force Base ;)

Also, many bases have RV areas where military members can rent them for personal use. just an FYI :)

When my DD was a senior her boyfriend was in college. That is not unusual. But when Sergio was a sophomore in college, Becky was a FRESHMAN in high school. That,I would have a problem with.

I agree, Aura. That corridor is one I travel a lot. I have NEVER seen any searching going on there, not even one LE vehicle, since Isa went missing.

There is another poster here, who mentioned that area specifically, in the first days. :/

Maybe they've been together since RC was a teenager, hence the hesitation on the friend's part when she said that word.

The campers are confusing me. I haven't lived in Tucson for awhile, but I had to drive Golf Links to see my dad, and I took him shopping on the base frequently, so I drove that way quite a bit. I was reading both Golf Links/Swan and Golf Links/Alvernon so the section between is all desert, with a bike path. No RV/camping sites in that area. Am I thinking of the wrong place?

ETA: Unless they are law enforcement campers. I honestly can't tell from the photos.

I was one of the posters that mentioned that area. I couldnt remember the name of Golf Links.

I will be so pissed if she is found there. Im always wanting to get out and search that area too but I always have my son with me, he is special needs, and is in a wheelchair so I cant take him out with me to search, but Ive been driving around there looking on the ground as much as I can.

I dont know why that area stuck out to me, but it is close, and I was wondering why I never saw any movement there searching. You would think that would be an area to search alot...next to the ballpark where she was the night before. Who knows what kind of evidence is there.

No RV/camping sites. They must be LE.
