I just watched the Today Show (anyone else?) and they said NBC was told that the previous visits by CPS had "nothing to do with Isa."

I dont think the Today Show has transcripts, sorry....I tried to rewind so I could stop/play/stop/play to get the exact wording, but I accidently hit the wrong button losing my place. grrrr.

Anyone on the West Coast maybe tune in so you can catch it....it came (their coverage) just after the bottom of the first hour of the Today Show

You know, I wonder if it was reported that someone in the house was on some sort of drugs. I know in Florida DCF will not remove kids if you test positive. Recently my sisters boyfriend had a vindictive DCF call by his ex-wife and DCF requested a routine drug test. He told them beforehand that he wold test positive for marijuana but was wanting to quit. He did indeed test positive, but a month later when he was retested it was negative and they closed the case.

I think the reporter described the wall writing as a "note"...not general kid writing. There is a reason the reporter brought it up, and a reason the Sgt said at the presser they will not confirm any evidence. Until we hear otherwise I will just file it as a speculated note.

Our daughters did leave writings along with drawings.

There most certainly is a reason....reporters love to ask questions that they know LE is not going to answer anyway that will peek the interest of their viewers. It doesnt mean there is anything to it or that it was some kind of distress note Isa wrote. The media is very aware how the public will take a snippet and run with it for days and weeks on end.

Reminds me when the media leaked that there was blood on Laci Peterson's mop and it went viral and lit up every MB on the internet when in truth no blood was found whatsoever.

Actually Hawke always says they will not discuss the evidence......that is SOP and the media already knows that even before any PC begins. But Hawke did elaborate further this time and said "I am unaware of such discovery." So I think she is trying to put this one rumor to bed but she should know by now that isnt gonna happen. LOL!:floorlaugh:

Hawke isn't even aware of the what the previous CPS calls are about. She doesn't have all the information about the case, only what LE wants her to put out. I guarantee the people actually working on the case know what the CPS calls were about, and if the note exists, they know about it.

LisaB said" Sergio specifically mentioning that everyone took showers.
clipped most except for above,

Anyone wonder, how can 5 people take a shower in so little time, supposedly they got home around 10:30. The time thing to me is SOOOO way off :banghead:

I'm just now getting caught up on overnight posts, so this will probably be horribly out of sync with the posts that I've yet to read.

The shower thing bugged me from the moment that Sergio said it. I can see the brothers showering quickly before bed, but given that Isabel was a "girly-girl", I would think that she'd be more comfortable taking a bath. I know of few younger girls who shower instead of taking a bubble bath. Not to mention that, if she shampooed, her hair would have needed to be blown dry before it was braided. Becky mentioned nothing about Isabel bathing or showering, only that she braided the little girl's hair. Creepy that Dad was the one to mention the showers. :moo:

Thanks.

I will have to find it later on line because I never thought it had anything to do with Isa either. I said yesterday that I thought these two incidents were completely separate issues.

Re: Isa being in Mexio, Passport missing

First of all, do we know for a fact that her passport is missing?

Second, I have never had to use a passport to travel, so I don't know how the whole process works. But I do know that when I visit military bases around the US, my mil id is scanned and they are able to keep track of where I am (on base, off base, etc.).

Does that happen with passports? Is there something like a giant database that keeps track of who is in a foreign country, when they arrive, when they leave, etc.?
If so, it should be relatively easy to either support or de-bunk the Mexico theory.

Probably wishful thinking on my part.

But she isnt the media officer for nothing. She does know the case and she gets her information everyday from the lead detectives working the case. Just like Cardoza and Smith in the Sierra Lamar case knows her case front and back because everyday the lead detectives keeps them abreast.

She is not going to divulge any information about CPS. She has no legal authority to do that especially since no arrest were made in either case. Only CPS can divulge information about the cases they handle. That is why CV told the press they would have to contact CPS.

just jumping off your post: but that was in the comments section of an article...

it is not known if the passport is missing (or if she even has a passport for that matter)

She didn't just say she wouldn't divulge the CPS information, which would be understandable. She said she had "very little information" about it. I guarantee you the people actually working on the case know a lot more than "very little". Yes, she is speaking to the media for a reason, to put out ONLY what LE wants the public to know. They aren't going to tell her anything they don't want the public to know because they don't want a slip.

I dont think so. Sergio had already said that Isa wrote on their walls in crayon everywhere. Our four daughters when they were Isa's age did too and now our granddaughters are paying them back by doing the same thing at their home. LOL!

I just think Becky cant go back to the place when she knows Isa isnt there. Isa's bedroom is sitting empty now. I can understand the reluctance to go back with Isa being missing now.

I do think she and the boys will return one day though but for now I think they are staying with someone who can help Becky out with the boys since Becky has returned to work.

ITA...but, it seems to me that, he's ALWAYS one step ahead of everything. Like he KNEW the psychologist was questioning the closet scribble. Like he KNEW that was gonna come out...."nip it in the bud".

It's "almost" like Cindy Anthony's depo...she said she had it in writing so she could re-read it to "remember" what she said.

That's why I keep saying TOOO many DETAILS in the 911 call.
It's preserved "on tape"...there's a printed copy of it....he doesn't have to worry about tripping up....except for BC, the color and type of clothes Isa went to bed in....OR maybe adding the "braiding hair" in there.

IMO, BC probably caught holy HECK for getting THAT part wrong!! AND, the son describes what Isa had on EXACTLY the way BC did....poor kid probably caught heck, too.

I believe THAT'S why the order keeping him away....IMO....violent temper...control issues...IMO. AND, again, IMO, his temper is what got Isa taken away. IIRC, didn't someone mention something in a post about getting Isa taken away to punish BC as a possible theory???

At any rate, IMO, whatever this is, AND, I think SC is the ringleader in this, they didn't think it was gonna go so public, so quickly. Now it's SC's "save face" time, IMO....keep the lie going at all costs.

So sorry, OBE, for going off on a tangent.

quote=Lava;7934883]My whole childhood I was a cheerleader, my brother played football, and my dad coached. We lived at that field weekdays and weekends. It isn't unusual for games (especially baseball!) to go late, and generally leaving early isn't a good idea. The kids put a lot into those games, to leave without getting to finish is bad for their team spirit. I think in all my years there I don't remember ANYONE leaving early - especially since it isn't a school night. We were taught we needed to support our team, and that is what we did. (And Sergio is a coach, how can he leave them??)

About the braids...I bet RC wanted Isabels braids to be done for the game the next day, but knew she had to go to work. Not unusual at all to do them the night before.[/quote]

Yep, my daughter is a cheerleader and we had weeknight games where we got home around 11pm. It made me so mad, because she was only 9 during last year's season. (early fall)

As to the braids/ponytails not that it really matters but I am a licensed Cosmetologist and I understood what she meant. 2 ponytails but with 4 elastics total. 2 ponytails on each side of her head, you pull the top portion of the hair on each side (with the part running down the center of the head) into a ponytail, then at the nape of the neck gather the upper ponytail into the remaining hair. Thus you get 4 ponytails total.

this is the closest picture I could find:
picture on the left shows a side view, although it has 3 instead of 2 like she said.

NOT, Sergio!!! LOL
I meant I was thinking Isa and mom came in a seperate car...one would THINK they would, since dad was coach and most likely left early to GO to the game to "set up" FOR the game. This way MOM and ISA could leave to get home earlier.
I said UNLESS both mom and Isa went with them and played in the park while dad set up FOR the game. And, they ALL went in the same car.
Sorry if my post came off the way it did...LOL
I, too, went thru the cheerleading, sports thing. I'd NEVER leave, but sometimes my sis or bro came and just wanted to show support, but left early if they had something to do.

I have absolutely no idea about Mexico.....but I have traveled on many cruises and children don't need a passport, but they do need birth certificates that prove they are with family (same last name) or a document from their parents that approve the traveling.

I agree with ya.
He just seems so 'Cindy Anthony' to me.

I've been looking at the odds, circumstances with coinsidences and this is not looking good for Isa coming home safely.

Right, the investigators do know. I certainly agree with that, and now they have leaked to NBC that it was a minor incident that didnt involve Isa. That is how they will usually do it and will leak info they want known.

You are right they would not need to disclose the info about the CPS matter to Hawke since she has no authority to discuss it anyway.

Thanks our favorite Bee!

It sounds like LE is trying to stop some of the rampant speculation about the December minor incident that had nothing to do with Isa.

IMO

an LE source also said that SC has given "inconsistent statements"

(course that is from our favorite person named "source" LOL)

Also mentioned that they do have three dogs (I think Patty was looking for that yesterday)
