Bodemesiter in the lead!!!!!

Correct.

ETA to clarify: But if by a "closed CPS case," you mean a CPS investigation that never went anywhere (e.g., dropped as "unsubstantiated," etc., then there are no documents at the courthouse at all--public or not.

Awesome-sauce. I was pretty sure of this, but wanted to be sure folks aren't running around trying to locate what won't be online. :-)

Thanks so much.

Would it be a natural move to involve CPS if a parent had a DUI charge with a child in the car, and would that be something that could be resolved through diversion if it was a first offense DUI, if there was a child in the car?

Could CPS then have extended involvement of say 10 years?

These are just some questions to throw out there for AZlawyer or anyone to weigh in on...

CPS wouldn't normally be involved unless there was some reason that the child couldn't be safely at home--e.g., the driving parent was going to jail and there was no one else at home to care for the child.

Most of the time if CPS (in Arizona at least) is involved for 10 years, it's because there is no way, no how the child can ever go home (e.g., serious physical/sexual abuse, serious mental problems with the kid causing him to be extremely violent, etc.) and no way, no how the child can ever be placed with another family on a permanent basis (e.g., violent/mental kid, kid who is extremely disabled and needs permanent state care).

HOLY MOLY Ill have another, that is an AMAZING HORSE!!! Never seen a horse like this in all my years that is a WARRIOR out there!

Same result as the Derby Bode had the lead the entire race and Ill Have Another chased him down for a win by a nose at the finish, simply AMAZING!

What a good race! Can't wait for June 9th!

You're welcome! I posted an article on page 2 of this thread that said TPD has had several occasions to visit the Celis home. That isn't CPS. TPD said in one of the pressers that the visit last December was the first time CPS had been to the home and it didn't involve the Celis family. HTH

I can't imagine how Sergio must feel that the public was accusing him of animal abuse when it was only a dog at large and no vacc ticket. The court records show he plead not guilty and he was assigned a court date for follow up. Some people seem to run loose with facts.

Why do you think his sister would lie to the public? :waitasec: I don't know how that would help bring Isa home. She's just trying to set the record straight and squelch rumors. Same with Becky when she says to hard to deal with the rumors on top of dealing with Isa missing.

It's like Elizabeth Smart all over again.

Okay, I have to ask, by WHOM and WHERE was SC being accused of animal abuse? All I ever read here or anywhere else was that he got citations for not renewing tags/vaccinations and for letting them run loose.

Again, the only time I have heard anything to do with animal abuse was from SC's sister's lips.

Can you provide links?

And also any MSM sources stating that SC was never in contact with CPS prior to May? I assume there are links since this has been stated as fact.

At this point I think we have us a Triple Crown winner, that is just a flat out WARRIOR of a horse!

Maybe the Celis family has problems with one of their kids and that was why CPS was called. There could be behavioral problems, emotional problems, etc.. Who would have called them? Did the child call? Did the school have reason to call? I am betting there is something going on within the family structure that is worrisome and somebody thought it be best for CPS to handle it. The person may have called LE and LE would refer to the person to CPS if it was out of their power/control.

That is quite likely, although if it is true that SC was never involved in any way with CPS prior to May, then it would be shoddy work on the part of CPS to not even bother talking to dad. Ya know?

The key to being good at betting on the ponies is to study and understand the horse papers/bloodlines. Knowing that information will tell you which horses have any chance at all, the rest is pretty much luck and knowing how well they have done in recent previous races, distances they are strong at etc.

Right...It is the same with riding Western and barrell racing, roping etc. but just in different ways.
I am just a triple crown watcher and maybe get up to Pimlico once in a while.

That was a really exciting race. What a really humble, calm jockey.

When my mom was alive we would watch the Triple Crown races every year. She LOVED the stories. This is the first year without her, I would LOVE a triple crown winner this year, although it would be so bitter sweet! I'm not sure I could take more than these 3 races a year though lol

That is an interesting question and wouldn't it be about 10 years from the date Rebecca got a ticket for that? I believe (IIRC) it was in 2002.

(oops... I see AZ already answered - my bad for going backwards through the forum)

I had not heard that either. I am starting to question everything I read in the media though. I feel like it very clearly specified exactly where the info. came from. (Would make for some very long articles).

Well, we knew that LE obtained other search warrants for the neighborhood. I believe this was stated pretty early on... No? It was surmised perhaps the g'parent's home was likely one of those searched.

That pony won me a lot of money in the Derby but Bodemeister had him beat if the race would have been on a shorter track, which the Preakness is.

We are about to find out if I lose all my money back or not LOL.

My friends and I used to bet on the Triple Crown but haven't in years. Everytime a horse I pick comes in, I get very weepy. I think I'll start betting again. Good luck with your money!

Well as i see it anytime CPS is called its serious....
If its nothing the family can tell what it is if they want to.
As i see it this was all done for a reason!

Sometimes the accusations are serious but not always.
Some complaints are from vengeful people because at one time in WV 3 complaints meant CPS would open a case or maybe a fellow shopper heard you raise your voice or called your child a brat.(verbal abuse)

If children are REMOVED from the caregivers and the state takes custody, then there are serious allegations made you can be sure.
