How did the perp/s enter and exit the property? :waiting:

I think through a door or doors. Probably just one door, though. Beyond that, I have no idea.

I know RC said during the 911 call that she had checked each door but she also sounded hysterical to me. Did she check each door carefully, give it a good shake, make sure that all the locks were fully engaged? Did she quiz SC and the boys as to which doors they used?

Or did she just see doors that were shut and assume they were locked? Did she open each door, hoping to spot Isa outside?

If they have normal single barrel deadbolt locks, that only need a key on the outside to lock (which is safer in a house fire than a double barrelled deadbolt), it's not that difficult to lock one from the outside by using a length of polyester ribbon around the lock handle. Use the ribbon to rotate the handle, then let go of one end, pull it through the door and there you have it: the locked door.

The drawback to this method is that it rarely turns the lock all the way. Someone who was paying close attention to the little details would notice it but a hysterical mother who is trying to get LE to their house ASAP? I think RC could easily overlook a partially locked door.

If the perp removed the screen, climbed in, took Isa, and carried her out the window (had to, unless they have Isa's fibers) there would be evidence left behind...more so if she walked over the sill herself. When he bent down to pick up Isa, he had to leave something behind. Picking up a limp person disturbs fiber, hairs, and skin cells to drop.

How did the perp know where this child slept? Curtains drawn, lights out. How did he know Sergio wouldn't catch him. Sergio fell asleep in front of the tv. I think we have another extremely lucky perp who knew which window to climb in and knew no one would wake up.

This is a very brazen perp. I would imagine the dog in the house would have alerted if not the two outside ones. So if this occured @ 6:30am, why didn't sergio or rebecca notice? Why didn't Sergio get awakend by the dogs? Why didn't Rebecca hear them?

This also means the perp may have parked in the driveway. Not to do so, would make his walk further. One last important event. He had to have spent some time around the place because LE stated he did an adequate job covering his tracks.

Do we know what kind of lock is on the gate? It could be the kind of lock that automatically closes when the gate is shut.

I (think I) know where this came from...one of the brilliant TV "personalities" was breaking down the 911 call and said that there were inconsistencies on it...and then somehow it became a part of the story...it was to do with the pajamas, of all things. JMO

Perhaps not considered an inconsitency but what about SC saying that his wife had just left for work? Was he awake when she left? It would've been 7 am (assuming that is the time she left). If it was 7 am, then I wouldn't consider it "just left". I would've said she left about an hour ago or something along those lines.

If someone says, she just left, to me indicates that the person is awake and aware.

Also, I'm not sure if this was mentioned before but how did SC get a hold of RC ? She's a RN in the ER, right? Are nurses allowed to carry cellphones with them? Where I'm from, no cellphones anywhere in the hospital ER....even the waiting rooms or visiting areas. How did he get a hold of her so quickly?

Do we know what time the 911 calls were made?

If Becky was at work early, and that's what we have been told, she worked at 7:00am, most people get ready at least a half an hour before they go to work, so that would place the time around let's say 6:30am? To me, either she just didn't pay attention to the dogs barking, or she had already left by that time, OR, Isa was already gone from the home before 6:30am. MOO

It doesn't close automatically because we've seen it standing open as people were going in and out.

We've seen lots of people going in and out of that front courtyard gate, but I don't know if it's locked or not. From looking and videos and stills, I can't tell for sure if there is a lock or not. SOMEONE let their dogs out 1 week before Isa went missing, somehow.

If they keep their dogs outside, the false door would be locked. If not anyone who wants to visit would take a chance of letting the dogs out. I say it is kept locked and it appears everyone enters the home through the garage.

It doesn't have to close automatically. You just pull it closed from the outside. That's how my gates work. They lock automatically from the inside, nobody needs to be there to lock it.

My house came with the bars and it is kind of scary to think how I would get out, if there was ever a home invasion or a fire...I have an irrational fear of home invasions...well, I am sure everyone does, but I mean, they've never happened in my area, yet I think most about this type of crime, probably because my husband works graveyard and I am home alone at night.

The window bars in our house have a security feature for emergencies. You just pull a pin in order to open them. Maybe that's something that could be added to the bars you already have? I'm not sure if that's possible, but it is nice to know that we can have security bars yet still escape in case of a fire, etc.

I wonder where they parked the car? That house directly across from the Celis house looks like it could have security cameras...speculating.

The alley would not be good, people could be outside and all the neighborhood dogs would bark. The side street seems the best place....but then he has to walk through the false door and pull it closed,walk across the driveway and around the corner. I wonder what Isa was doing while walking away with the perp. One thing we know for sure, she didn't scream.

This was a very special perp...one who didn't have an easy way in or out and wiped everything clean, not leaving much evidence, if any.

It's not a false door. It opens and closes. IF the kids are leaving on foot/friend's mom picking them up to go play, they most likely would exit the front door and then go through the courtyard door/gate and leave. Otherwise they would leave the garage door wide open if that is the only exit from the house to the front.

She said in her video interview she was the only one who used it. She said she had never heard voices before. That is what is unusual to me. jmo

She also said that at the time, she thought it was just someone walking through what she calls the breezeway.

I don't think she's lying. I just don't think that what she heard was connected to Isa's disappearance.

I will have to look...they are very old, probably 30+ years...and I have never noticed a way to release them. Now I am worried... thanks.

Many of them have panic releases on the interior. I know the condo I own in town has these (it's not far from Davis Monthan AFB, and not exactly the lowest crime rate area).

My concern where I live is javelinas. My front windows are about 6 inches off the ground and javelinas do NOT see well at all. When my dog was still alive (lost her suddenly just around Mother's Day), she would bark and charge at the windows when the pigs were out front. I'd have to lower the blinds to keep her from leaping through the screens!

The 0630 barking was the perps taking a quiet child out the window. Why didn't Isa scream? I can't imagine her not whining, crying or yelling about being awakened, going through a window with a stranger, and walking outside in the early morning. She knew she had a little league game. She should have put up a fight if able.
