I love Dan Abrahms....I remember when he was nearly a nobody...covering the OJ trial, standing outside as as a noob attorney reporter. lol He has come a long ways!

Remember him from Court TV, along with Cynthia McFadden and Terry Moran. All on ABC now.

I tried using the one you are referring to, but was unable to properly gauge the amount of distortion. I found the same screen capture taken from straight on and used it in one of my scenarios.

I'm tellin ya, I think that the basic floorplan is correct, but it was just expanded to be able to see the layout in general. MOO

In one of the early press conferences, Chief Villasenor or Lt Pacheco (can't remember off hand which one) stated that many officers from different departments had to be taken off their normal duties to help in Isa's case. I'm not sure if Det. Sabori is still on Isa's case or if he has been placed back on his regular detail, but I definitely recall them saying they had to pull extra officers from other units to help.

They definitely have been using resources from throughout the TPD. Lots of re-assignments and new shifts/details have been the result. I know this firsthand.

I think its ill advised to ever pick out one particular thing about a case and form an opinion based on that....pretty much common sense....

however, when one looks at the totallity of circumstances, then each piece is important. I think people picking apart his 911 call is ok when being coupled with everything else that is hinky....
I agree with you, prima. I was just pointing it out. I've been on the fence and on both sides of it, several times each. I've even criticized SC for not asking them to hurry, when both RC and the boy did.

FYI, I was refreshing my memory regarding the Van Dam case. According to the transcript, in the 911 call, the mom (Brenda) could not recall how tall Danielle was, nor her weight. She also offered information that the operator did not ask. At the end of the call, she thanked the operator and said goodbye. She never asked for the police to hurry, either.

These are all things that SC did in his calls and for which he is being criticized. The Van Dams were not guilty in the disappearance or murder of their precious daughter.

Does anyone have a good link about the van dam case? I've looked at wikipedia and a few other sites but it didn't dive into the details.

Was it ever discovered how he entered and left the house?

He entered/exited through an unlocked door.

I can't get this out of my head so I thought maybe if I typed it - it would leave my mind! LOL

What in the world would make a man, whose daughter had seemigly just been abducted from right under their noses, willingly agree to have no contact with his two sons?

Did LE offer protection for mom, sons for his cooperation?

I would think (that's the disclaimer) that I would not let my boys out of my sight let alone not be there to protect them and their mother.

Does anyone know how the US Marshall's are used in a case like this? I know they are involved in this case.

Is 5602 the Celis house? If so, the description says it is two story. Or am I reading the wrong description? tia

The Pima County Assessor's site does list their records for 5602 E 12th St. as a 1 1/2 story home with no garage. It's apparently wrong. LOL.

US Marshals can cross jurisdictions and borders...

ETA.....

•The Marshals provide assistance, expertise and training on fugitive matters to federal, state, local and international agencies.
•The agency has four foreign field offices in Jamaica, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Colombia. The U.S. Marshals work closely with law enforcement agencies along the borders of Mexico and Canada and with the Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service. The agency also holds key positions at Interpol.

I was also abused in my childhood and by my first husband (ex) and though I told no one about either abuser there were more red flags falling everywhere than is seen in a bullfight.

People knew........they had to know...they werent blind. They just decided it wasnt their business and didnt want to get involved. After I told when I was 38 no one was surprised.

IMO

Ughhh :banghead:
That pisses me off! Same here. When i finally told about how i was sexually abused for like six years as a teenager.....i finally told now as an adult and the stories start coming in. How people always knew. They had a feeling. "He gave me the creeps." "He said stuff to me before." "He did things that made me wonder." "I know things about him", etc....
REALLY?? SERIOUSLY??? And you're just NOW coming out with this? Thanks for protecting me and anyone else whose life was ruined by him.
Why do people not speak up? Especially adults??? I don't blame kids as much. But as an adult.....
I just hope that i've learned....and that i will never be one of those people.

Well I think if he didnt agree his sons would have been placed in foster care.
Neither parent would have them. JMO

I've thought over and over in my mind the same thing. The only thing that makes sense to me is that CPS said you can voluntarily agree to no contact, or we will take you to court and have the children removed from both of you. JMO
