Still trying to catch up, but just wanted to say that I thought I remembered my daughter, years ago, having a pink old navy tank with the flag on it. I was unable to find one new on their website, but maybe they had it this past year, or Isabel had a hand me down.

Ours looked like this:

So it's possible the descriptions PINK TANK and OLD NAVY WITH FLAG were both correct.

How are the scorpions in Tucson? I currently live out in the sticks in SW Florida and we have small ones. I don't leave ANYTHING on the floor, or in the car, for more than a couple hours. We have scorpions everywhere.

Personally, we've only "seen" scorpions three times since we moved here, almost 10 years ago. Each time was early summer (about now); once in a ceiling light socket (so it got in through the roof...ugh), once on the ground in the desert on a hike and once (I got stung...ouch) in the grooves between cement "walking spaces" in the concrete outside my house. They were all very small.

Yes, but that wasn't the problem I had with it. It was the lie. I think they should have been straight forward with what they received. I would think that when asked that question they would have thought "Oh, NBC is paying for our hotel" and said something along the lines of "NBC has been paying for this hotel, but it wasn't in order to receive the first interview". But they didn't, and then it came out that NBC is paying for the hotel, so it seems deceptive.

Lava, you have a good point. However, I don't recall their response on the video. What DID they say? (I was referring back to print media, not the recorded version.)

Just FYI that shoe print on the box... those boxes latch with a spring loaded clip in them and are quite hard to get locked by just popping the lid on, a good bit of the time a tech needs to stomp down on them top to get them to lock. its not an electrical box its a cable ped. ( former cox cable tech )

OH! That makes sense. Your input was so helpful to me, as I was trying to recall alleyway from NG's show. You inspired me, I think, to go look further.

LMAO, Pieper, you have NO idea how many times I've typed (then erased) posts asking posters here to double check my square footage! I don't want to be overcharged, either! (And not to sound like a damsel in distress, but when I asked Mr. Richman, his snores from the couch were a little alarming. I'm just sayin!) Clearly there are folks in THIS HOUSE who care more THAN OTHERS. Again, I'm just sayin.

Just a thought... LE finally got all the DNA and CSI findings and speculations from the stains, shower curtain, blankets tooth brushes and swabs and everything else... finally has enough evidence to take to a judge for an arrest warrent to be issued , they released all the fluffer info, they will be making thier arrest here any time soon. It sure looks like they figured out what happened in this case and even without a body they have enough here to make a case.

They could have been more forthcoming or, most likely, it could have been the furthest thing from their mind when they were asked that question.

I'm just saying that there have been other instances of parents of missing children taking money in a much more obvious way than what this situation is presenting to us. Like I said, this to me is just not sinister. JMO.

but "a lie is a lie"....why not just tell the truth about it?
it wouldn't have been a big deal if they just said yah they're paying for our hotel room....what's the big deal?
now they're just caught in a "lie" that didn't need to be told and it makes people wonder what other "little lies" are they telling?

Not saying it can't be a suspect foot print but it is just possible with that type of ped it could be a cable guys shoe. In the 2008 google photo however the ped shown is a larger tan ped which wouldn't have needed stomped on.. the ped in your picture is a replacement ped. It's not uncommon for those alley peds to get struck by trash trucks or idiots driving backwards in the alley. lol i used to hate replacing them.

They probably just turned states evidence today and get the sign off of the warrent delivered tomorrow... they gotta have a case packaged and in process or they wouldnt have given the media a bucket of mud to splat the family with like that, it just wouldnt be right.

I am not picking at you, but rather the idea in your post. IF these parent(s) are innocent, all I can think is...ALL of this is new. Every bit of it. So, having your child taken from your home, in the dead of night, while you are there...holy hell, that has to shake you up, then, the police investigation and light and powders and dogs and a million strangers in your house and all the media scrutiny and requests and someone tells you that NBC will pay for you and the boys to stay, safely in an undisclosed location and you can talk to their reporter to send out ONE message...and then someone asks if you've been compensated for your "interview"? I can see why they'd say "no". If they HAD a hired attorney/spokesperson/mouthpiece, I would dissect this more. These are media-virgins, answering off-the-cuff, in my opinion.

What is it called when a news organization that wants an interview, flies the person(s) to New York, puts them up in a hotel before the taped interview, takes them to dinner and shows and then flies them back home???

I think so? But that's only my opinion. I think the issue is that the news organization continued to pay to put them up in a hotel. It wasn't ONLY for the interview, right?
But AGAIN....it's fine if they do that..it's the "lying" about it that is what bothers people. Just say that they're helping. Then it's over. I don't think people would care if someone was paying for them to stay in a hotel room, right? But why lie about it?
Anyway, i'll try to be done w/ this subject.
I'm so frustrated w/ what's going on right now w/ this case and i stil haven't gotten caught up.
