Sorry I just joined yesterday and didn't see all these posts. Wow, the Celis have been way overpaying on property taxes. What a mess! I compared their property records with ours and under their Property Record Card someone signed off on 3802 sq ft on 10/2005. I'm amazed how many people don't double check these things! I would be hollering to lower my tax bill.

IMO, I have a feeling that the tax bill statement that the family receives is the accurate bill for their home.

Former FBI thinks LE does have evidence and are using CPS as a wedge to get info.
Sorry I do not know his name.
A viewer calls in and says that house is the most complicated house in the neighborhood to break into(she drove by the house Friday)

Nancy's guest suggest that she get her viewers to donate 100,000.00 for 'this poor guy' so he can fight CPS.

Umm hummm. Let's get one a them thermometer looking thingies they use on telethons and see how fast that mercury rises. Lol.

AND if he fought CPS he would have to go to court and the boys would have been put in Foster Care ... and even separated until a hearing was held. I wouldn't let my pet rock go to "most" Foster Care. :moo:

NOTE: The press release that SC was being removed from the home happened on a Friday. That is so typical. Couldn't even get to court to file for a hearing for 2 days.

Coming up is the Memorial Day weekend and a holiday on Monday. Let's see if something "breaks" this Friday?

If you can afford a Lexus, you can afford an attorney.

not necessarily.

attorney's aren't on layaway nor lease...

every charge in court that the c's have individually been brought up on has been represented in court by a public defender.

and dismissed.

;)

I think that is very possible that LE has something else on SC.

Sierra Lamar's case has given me renewed hope that LE is on the ball.

Good catch. I missed the past tense in his response "Um, probably, I believe she was 30 or, she's about 40 pounds, she's probably right about 40 pounds".

Maybe he was thinking back to the last time she was weighed, eg a doctor's appointment or sports physical, and working forward from there... "She was 30 lbs [at her check-up], or [because shes bigger now] she's about 40 pounds."

In case it wasn't obvious, I just made that up. The thought was largely based on the fact that I can't guess height or weight for chit, so to be anywhere close to ballpark accurate, I would have to have a known value to base my estimate on. I see Bodhi and Prof had similar thoughts, though. :)

I think they are going to talk about Sierra Lamar now.

Yes me too, they have been watching this guy since March 28. People were getting worried because it was getting so quiet. Who knows what LE is working on with Isa.

I know . . I was being ironic! :woohoo: Anyhoo, I guess the larger point is that I just don't get that family's priorities, including NOT being a bit more . . . proactive . . about a number of things!

Oops. Supposed to be posted on the Sierra thread.

I can't imagine being in a courtroom when she is representing one of her clients :what: JMO

and maybe the reason for the dismissals  has something to do with how this case has been handled (i.e. careful investigation, withholding evidence of a "sensitive nature" etc.) . . . just a thought :moo:

(strictly my opinion and I am only guessing at this point)

BBM because maybe the case was never opened, and maybe the teachers and friends really have nothing to say. When there are odd circumstances, in my experience, people will come out of the woodwork to talk

I've thought from the outset that Isabel's parents had probably instructed family members, friends, teachers, etc. not to discuss the case in the media. I'm sure that many people outside of the family circle have since been interviewed by LE and/or the FBI, and there is certainly no way that the parents could interfere with this aspect of the investigation. :moo:

I don't agree, with caller, though. Funny, how on her tape of her producer standing on the bucket (or whatever it was) at the Celis wall, we can see the house on the other side of the alley with the same wall around it...

Other local posters have stated that the style of wall around the house is fairly common in the area.

Many posters have discussed bars on the windows in the area's homes.

The corner house with a wall means less nosey neighbors.

A wall blocks the view of a window entry.

Perp could have known that the only surveillance camera near the home was pointed in the direction that he was not taking.

I don't know how a wall equals complicated, personally.

b--i--n-g-o.

"of a sensitive nature".

there's nothing so sensitive, imo, than a case with investigative 'involvement' from LE themselves in addition to evidence against a minor. imo.

oh please let me be wrong. i'm begging for it at this point.

LOL
I know I should read ahead, especially if I am only a couple pages behind, to see what others have responded, so I don't repeat the thought, but it's difficult to keep track. It's fun to see how GMTA anyway, right?

Not sure the use of past tense indicates anything sinister.
