I understood it that Isa does not fluently speak Spanish but that she does understand it being spoken to her..

12 members at this hour .... that is sad.
I am not aware if Isabel does or not but I agree they should given the community that it attracts
Other than being on the lookout or spotting a child who looks like Isa, or doing searches or handing out flyers, if requested, the public really can't do anything else.
Knowing what time RC left to go to work does what exactly? It's an investigative detail for police because they are investigating the family and building a legal case. Telling people outside of the investigation makes no sense--all it can do is feed the appetite of gossipmongers or people who like to play detective.
The public does not have a right to know every detail of an ongoing investigation. That may anger people, but it's the way it is.
And, I'll go a step further than that. After watching the debacle of the "public's help" in the Caylee case, I'd say the public is often a nuisance at best or downright dangerous at the worst. Jeff Ashton had that same sentiment that he expressed in interviews. All the thousands, hundreds of thousands, probably millions of discussions and speculation on the Internetweb didn't do diddly squat in the Caylee case. Lots of innocent people got hurt, got dragged through the mud, had their privacy violated by people who thought they were "helping." You know what did work though? Threatening to boycott any network or publisher who might help KC profit from telling her story. That is what the public can do to help. And let LE do their thing.
If one is feeling helpless and angry, help raise money for Klaas Kids or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or TES.
BBM - I often agree with you and always feel I understand where you are coming from ... but I have to ask ... whatcha doing here?
Following the updates of a few different crime cases and seeing which ones have been resolved, etc. WS is a good one-stop-shop to get caught up on cases without having to go out and Google each one separately. I'm not a detective and I don't work in LE or the legal field; I'm a member of the general public just like the majority of people posting.
However, I've followed enough cases over the years to know that LE is not going to divulge details to the public that are part of their core case unless they need something from the public. Folks who are new(er) to missing person and crime cases often don't realize they will not get the inside info until a case goes to trial. Sure, they'll get lots of "bombshell" snippets of stuff from NG and JVM, but the salient info will be preserved for legal reasons.
Everyone gets to decide for themselves what the purpose of WS is to them. I tend not to speculate because I'm only interested in the facts and getting the real story...whenever that comes out....which is usually at trial.
If it's helpful to believe that law enforcement will change their tactic and spill inside case details, then go for it! I've not seen it happen in cases I've followed, and I have no expectation of it happening in this case, but maybe LE will surprise me.
If there's some specific way to help LE find Isa beyond the searches, beyond passing out flyers, beyond candlelight vigils, then I look forward to hearing what LE is requesting. So far I haven't seen anything from them.
Not that it matters one iota, but I spent the afternoon/evening with more than one party to the investigation.
I have faith in TPD. Whether misplaced, only time will tell. But living here (Tucson) and seeing nothing but fund raising for flyers and no ongoing searches, that tells me a lot. Either this is a cold case, or it is a waiting game for a POI or POIs to slip up. I hope for the latter.

eh - I reckon that matters lol Wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall there lol
What do you think it is ? Cold or waiting game?
Respectfully BBM
That's the direction I'm leaning at this point. In the Sierra Lamar case LE had the suspect/POI on surveillance for approx. 2 months but didn't make the arrest until recently.
As a local, do you know if the lack of searches and requests for no volunteer searchers is mainly due to the climate? I've been to AZ before and know how hot it can get, so I was wondering if that has more to do with the lack of searches?
ETA: As opposed to possible info/evidence they may have that might keep them from requesting/allowing volunteer searchers?
