Police guarding neighborhood are waiting for the Chief to release the neighborhood. May be later today.

Police have been at the house around the clock, guarding the house.

Yesterday when i heard the officer talk it sounded like they were onto something or someone JMO but today i get the feeling they are at a loss after hearing the officer speaking. JMO

Not sounding or looking good hope my feelings are wrong.

I felt the same way after this news conference and felt LE was baffled by the case. IMO.

I was thinking the same thing. I certainly hope LE have some information we are not privy to but it doesn't appear they are searching for any particular perp.

Many thoughts are running through my head as to why the family doesn't want to return back home.
1. Police Dogs may reveal one of the family members as the dogs are all over there right now.
2. They don't want to mess with anything that might help police if they decide on more SW.
3. They emotional can't handle being in the house right now.

I haven't excluded the parents just yet.

RAW VIDEO: Statement From Isabel's Father

Family friend Joe Vega reads statement

http://www.tucsonnewsnow.com/category/179377/video-center?clipId=7033009&autostart=true

I will say that I don't think this family is a part of Isabel being missing, but....

This is the first statement I've seen by the Dad. Is it the only one he's put out?
I'm confused by it if it is the only one because he's thanking the Little League and saying how he wants to be there but his family just can't right now? No mention of Isabel?

Oh I love Reid :heartbeat:

LOL i follow him on twitter. hes rather interesting and hes an artist!

I think LE isnt sure they can rule out this family and this is why the BAU has been called in! JMO
It may not be her immediate family but relatives!

Washes are kind of like alleys here, some of them run for miles and miles, most open, some into tunnels under busy streets. Coyotes and other animals use em as passageways to get around...so do people, some yes, unsavory. Would have been one of the first places I would have looked...

Coronado Nat Forest encompasses the mountain ranges around Tucson.

Hmm not much eye contact. And like you said no mention of Isabel.

the map of the washes is only showing the major ones...there are hundreds of smaller tributaries that branch off of the main ones all over the place...

That's the dad's friend, not the dad, reading the statement. It sounded to me like it was a letter written specifically to the Little League coaches/team, not a general statement from the father.

The "family" put out a statement the other day, however, I believe this is the first statement ONLY by the father, OF WHICH, was read by a family friend.

I thought that a bit Odd myself.
Little League would not even be on my mind!

Isa's little league held a candlelight vigil last night. My guess that the father's letter to them was in response to that.
