I wonder why the Parents didn't have real tears? It really bothers me. I wanted to cry reading posts until I just seen JVM, and I wasn't moved and I am a BIG CRYBABY. I am on the fence here with their plea. JMHO

Well, whether they cried real tears or not or whether we could see those tears really doesn't matter I don't think. Deborah Bradley has broken down into a blubbering, runny nosed, crying mess on tv more than once and the vast majority of the public thinks she is guilty of killing her baby (Lisa).

Yeah, really.:banghead: Especially if the perp is on there. Wouldnt that be put on the front burner?

I dont even know why they are having these PCs because they say the same thing over and over again.

I did hear on one of the shows though that there are still people they are trying to locate and interview but havent found them home. So is someone missing from that area, I wonder?

imo

I keep hearing the same thing every day. It's been 5 days so who is missing and why can't they be located?

I watched without sound, Mom held together well, but not surprising. She is a trained nurse who works in an pediatric emergency room. I have to think her exposure and training at some level are helping her keep it together.

Dad seemed to have his eyes closed the entire time mom was speaking ...

Watching JVM and a gentleman stated that it seems Isabel's mother did not check on her before work ( speculation) We don't know this for sure but for all mothers out there--I believe human nature is a mother will check on her child before leaving house, however what were the circumstances of that morning. Could she be running late, or distracted by a phone call so she just headed out the door and not checking. Just looking for a parents point of view on this. We all go thru life each day and never knowing what tomorrow will bring and how our actions on a certain day may be under a microscope as I am sure it is for this family.

Exactly. So sad, really. I honestly don't blame the parents for not coming forward. You should hear the critcism on HLN. The dad looking down. The mom not checking on her daughter before leaving for work, etc.
It's disgusting.

For me, in order to have a clear mind and able to capture everything about a case, I have to always remain neutral otherwise I become a basket-case.

I do feel for all parents that have a missing child, however, I just don't put my full emotions into it for now. Actually with the Caylee case, video taping and capturing just about every single word every stated on air, I am worn out!

I pretty much am the same way. I try to use commonsense and logic and put the emotions aside when looking at the known facts of any case.

However; I am also human and do react either adversely or positively when the family members speak out. I think jurors do the same in a court of law. They size the witnesses up and judge their credibility and that is what I did today when Isa's parents spoke and IMO they passed with flying colors. I found them extremely open and honest.

Yes, Caylee's case was exhausting that is for sure. So much information was released so therefore more to grasp and digest.

It was obvious from the first day that HLN was firmly in the "parents did it" camp. I wish Marc Klaas would come on HLN as he often does to speak about these cases. I would like to hear his impressions.

It's interesting that they mentioned demands, particularly because that's not a statement you here often in these sorts of situations. It's also interesting that they met with the BAU this afternoon before deciding to make the statement - I'm wondering if the demands statement was suggested by BAU.

I don't know when they met with the BAU, but the chief announced they would make a statement at his 12:00 presser.

Don't know. I didn't catch that part if he said they did.

Hope you didn't think my frustration was directed at you. I appreciate all the updates. I just don't get why they don't check the homes and properties of these RSO's.

Parents speak, they are criticized, parents don't speak, same thing. As I have stated before as long as I keep hearing they are cooperating with LE that is all I need. I have no idea how I would act on tv in front of all these media outlets if I had a child missing.

I have a feeling there is a ransom demand. The family wanting police protection is a clue.

Who has her and why? :(

TPD were asked about ransom at the 4 pm conference. The reporter who asked noted the father's comment about demands.

TPD states there have been none.

I haven't read everything today, but has LE confirmed this? TIA

I can only speak from my own experience as a crime victim (armed robbery at work), and there is so much adrenaline in time of high stress and anxiety that you may not cry as some would expect. I didn't cry actual tear until the next day.

Also, a few years back when my daughter was a few days into her 5th birthday, I was sick on the couch and she went out the back door without my knowledge. She was gone maybe 15-20 minutes in our gated community, but again, with all the adrenaline pumping I felt like I was walking through a tunnel looking for her. I didn't cry tears until later when I calmed down and could process what could have happened.

I totally agree with you. I had to change channels. Sickening.

Is the family presser available to view online?

It's true, I didn't see actual tears on the dad's face or eyes. Mom did seem genuinely anguished to me, though. Choking back tears. Dad's plea seemed heartfelt. But, I did notice that while he seemed to be crying in a shuddering way, there was no visible wetness.

However, there could be a lot of reasons for that.

I don't know, this just seems like a very child-centered family. One that lives for the kids. Normal, nothing significant in their background, kids looked happy and well-cared for, very active family. How does one suddenly get killed if that was the case?

I linked earlier to an article that showed an officer speaking to a little girl who apparently saw Isabel the night before the disappearance. This is thus not like those cases where the kid has not been seen for awhile and goodness knows what is happening.

We don't have any new mates involved who could be suddenly changing the parenting dynamic and causing abuse where none was before. We don't have a single parent wanting to get rid of a child so he or she can be free.

Isabel in photos looks the picture of effervescent innocence, radiant happiness. I can see a pervert fixating on her, on her lovely qualities and wanting to possess and destroy her.

But otherwise, my feeling is that she seems to be the much loved and adored youngest child and only girl in that family.

I'm sad that the parents have to face such scrutiny. But, it's what we do here - try to figure things out.

I'm sure we will eventually get more info.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound short. I was typing kind of fast, lol.

I know you aren't frustrated with any of us here. I share your frustration about the case.

Are you really surprised? Im not. I would be more surprised if they were supportive of the grieving father.

Its not the way the media flows nowadays though......

Remember its all about ratings and nothing about decency. What would they have to talk about if they didnt critisize him?

Thats ok the T/Hs have had to eat their own words in the past and they will have to do it again, imo.

imo
