What does the Palo Verde Rehab have to do with Becky Celis?

And the dad mentioning "demands" was the reason I posted this. (Dear Lord, growing up my mom drove me nuts watching me walk to the bus stop, making sure I called her when I got to a friend's house...it made me so mad. Funny how once we become parents, we finally understand some of the stuff we thought was crazy that our parents did.)

So..my point is, after watching the parents pour their hearts out, I would eat my keyboard and any assorted minutia on my desk if they themselves had any part in this. But...my (totally opinion) concerns are the verifiable fact that losing their house(s) was an issue over the last year or so. Money problems can cause other wise smart, kind people to do some things that are not smart. I'll leave it at that.

Or one of the numerous RSO's in the neighborhood decided to repeat offend.

Or a extended family member or friend of the family is a disgusting example of humanity.

Just my thoughts...that's why I signed up here, to share them and discuss.

Wow. I hadn't thought about that angle. Interesting. I hope that if there is any truth to such a thing, the family would divulge whatever they know to the authorities.

Do any Tucson locals know the type of patients they take care of at Palo Verde (mental health services) at Tucson Medical Center? That's where Becky Celis works. Is it outpatient or inpatient mental health services?

I was told by an employee at TMC as recently as last night that she works in the Children's Emergency Dept. I'm totally confused now. I've always heard that she works with pediatric patients.

I am thinking they wanted to search the area immediately around the home and neighborhood for any sort of evidence or clues before branching out to more geographically distant likely spots.

I guess I just assume that the area immediately around the home is most likely to contain evidence or clues that can lead LE to some idea of where to go from there or whom to look at closer.

It's inpatient alcohol/drug rehab. They don't mingle. It's a lockdown type treatment. I think it's in the back of TMC. Palo Verde Rehab?

You are right. They also have (at least they used to) for young adults problems, like teens causing problems, or drugs or suicide stuff. But they are in the back of the campus, on Wyatt Dr. There are many facilities back there, Children's Rehab Center is back there, the Gastro people are back there. And a nursing home. Also right on the corner of Wyatt and Grant is that big hotel.

No, you're dead on I would think. I formed the same impression days ago and nothing that has happened since has shaken me from it. I think this is going to be a Westerfield/Couey type deal. And I think the offender is someone close by who has been planning this for a while.

Since the beginning of this case, my thoughts have been of a teen, under the age of 18. Someone who perhaps interacted with the older sibling at one time or another. There are many reasons, that profile doesn't make sense, but I just can't shake the feeling.

Working in the Childrens Emergency there at TMC would make her working with pediatric patients. That is a special ER dept for just children and pediatric patients. And from what I have heard, that is where she worked. Also the lady earlier who had taken her daughter there a few days ago said that is what she was told, so I would go with that. But (and I could be wrong of course :) ) but she would have pediatric patients there in the Childrens ER.

I get more of an Uncle, Grandpa type that nobody would ever suspect but I have nothing to base it on, zero, zip, zilch, nada, so please disregard. (LOL)

(Not necessarily family, just the 'type'.)

I watched the parents and I really don't know what to think now. I just can't see how someone could come through her window, all the while making sure she stays asleep/doesn't kick/scream/knock stuff over while they are getting her out the window, get her out the window without knocking or hitting something themselves, and not make a noise that was loud enough or unusual enough to alert someone or a household animal.

It's happened before, though. Who knows how they left the home, too. Could have been through a door. He could have threatened Isabel to stay quiet, or drugged her.

I hate to say this really. But I do hope that the Little League does background checks on all managers and coaches.this might have been answered if it has I apologize trying to keep up here and that 4 letter work is hard.

TMC has an ER dedicated solely to children and it's my understanding that this is where the mom works. I'm wondering if the person on here who brought up Palo Verde was thinking that there was significance to the fact that Palo Verde and TMC share a campus, but I can't really speak for her. Just my guess.

After watching the press conference and reading the posts, I had to take a step-back a little and listen without my heart ONLY because of the Susan Smith case.

Now, this is not to say I feel the parents are involved in anyway, but it also means I haven't ruled them out along with every single friend or relative of the family.

Right now for me, someone knows this family, knows their routine, knows the inside of their home, knows their dogs etc., etc.

I also thought perhaps Isabel just plain walked out of the house on her own, however, with the hits on some sort of scent, that didn't make sense.

So for me right now, everyone is a suspect to me that is close to this family and just don't feel YET that this is a abduction by a stranger.

I sure hope we learn more - SOON!

I have some kids, so I understand what pediatric means....lol (no snark intended)

The other person was mentioning mental health services in regards to Becky. That's why I was confused. Probably phrased my sentences wrong.

Yes I took my daughter there a couple of days ago and the nurse who cared for my daughter then said that the mom works in the pediatric emergency department with her.

I agree 100% with this, I am not saying they are involved in any way but the parents statement/plea just doesn't clear them with me completely yet.

When my oldest daughter was five and six, she slept so soundly that I took her took her to the potty every night before I went to bed. I would guide her to the bathroom put her on the pot and say "Go TT honey" and she would. One night I was sick so I had my husband do it. He scooped her out of the bed and said "Let's go TT baby" and she did, ALL over him. He never did that again. She never even woke up.

That's funny. You've made my point however which is.... if Isabel's parents took turns taking her to the bathroom after she fell asleep, this could be another reason she didn't fuss when the kidnapper came into her room and moved her while she slept. It would be part of Isabel's routine.

Oh my God! Isabel's parents would give their own lives to have their precious daughter back. It's agonizing to watch their pleas. I thought the dad was going to drop to his knees and beg for her return.

The dad really got to me. I think the mom held up as well as she could but it was taking everything the dad had to hold it together and not collapse into a blubbering heap!

I imagine with Isa being their youngest child and their only daughter she was probably the apple of her daddy's eye and a 'daddy's girl.'

I dont think this has anything to do with financial problems. They seem to have overcome that and both have good jobs.

Imo, there is only one reason to kidnap a beautiful little girl out of her bed and that is the offender did this because he has a sickening perverted lust for little girls Isa'a age.:( Damn him to hell.

imo

I loved the way the parents pronounced her name. It was as if it is two words. Isa Bel. And maybe it is, but it is a beautiful name the way the said it. jmo

Police confirmed that several dogs were in the home during the time of Isabel's disappearance but did not say what breed they are or whether they barked to alert the family to an intruder.

I just keep going back to what the neighbor's said about the dogs. They always barked (not exact, paraphrasing). If the one little dog was inside the home at night, but bigger dogs were kept outside in the back yard wouldn't they have barked at a stranger?

Trying to relate this to my own experience. My husband frequently works out of town. It seems like our big/outside dogs only have 2:00AM barking fits when he is gone. When they bark, it sets off my Boston Terriers who sleep in the house, which causes me to imagine all kinds of scary things (hello, I'm a WS'er).

Logically, it would seem the abductor is someone known to those dogs. Or maybe the dang Celis dogs bark so much, it's background noise and no one pays attention to them anymore?

I agree with everything you said. Also, dad was the one who went to check on her and she was gone. Mom was already at work so he must feel some sort of guilt for not being there to protect his baby girl even though this probably happened late night or very early morning. I think he must feel he's responsible. The "shoulda, coulda, woulda" must make one crazy. I know it would me. :(
