I fail to understand what drug deals have to do with this. There are drugs being sold right down the street from my home, just as there are drugs being sold all around the city. If there is a convenience store/gas station, there are drug deals happening. I doubt drug dealers decided to randomly abduct a 6-year-old girl from her bed.

*sigh*..I know this isn't a "bash Nancy Grace" thread, but I seriously can't stand her. I like to think I have an incredible amount of patience and understanding for people, but she just pushes me over the edge.

When something happened days ago, it is no longer considered breaking news.
Whyyyy is she talking about the parents needing to make a plea? They already did that.

I assure you I am not watching Nancy. I stopped that torture quite awhile ago. She makes my B/P go through the roof and all of her special effects with video and music drove me nuts and is so cheesy. She has become nothing but a tabloid show imo. If she doesnt know the facts.......she and her crew makes them up.

And if she is ever wrong and she sure has been quite a lot........she never ever retracts or apolgizes to the people she falsely accused.

I never let my son sleep in on the weekends at that age. He would go to bed the same time and wake up the same time. I just kept him on a schedule.

It happens just about everytime. Nancy and her crew has to find something to blame the mother about.

Why would she check on her sleeping children? Their father was right there and I am sure he kept them on Saturdays when she worked for years and was capable of getting them up for breakfast.

I think she's portraying both sides.. I mean she DOES have Mark Lunsford on the show which is showing that children CAN be taken from their own home but as we all are well aware... it's not usually the case

ETA.. I'm not protecting NG at all... I'm over her as well

NG implied that after the crime techs took the blanket and pillow out of the red car (that supposedly doesn't operate), that the crime scene tape went back up.

Even if they have and PASSED this police department is not going to reveal it, imo.

It is going to be another case among many where the family members have to twist in the wind of accusations until they arrest the real killer.

Ocean, one thing that impressed me the most about Mark Lunsford is how he managed to keep making statements daily even while he was being sliced and diced by the public and media. He is rare though, he and Diena and Groene had a certain way of dealing with things that helped them through the devastation.

I will never forget Mark though..he was criticized from day 1 for his looks let alone any evidence and wrote the text book on how to keep your childs name in the news. What a strong and courageous man. I was so pleased to hear he had another baby.

Most parents though just can't get through the pain to do the work of daily pressers, media interviews etc. especially with all the suspicion. These ones really twist in the wind because they can't fight back as a way of coping.Isabel's parents are in a nightmare and I hope they are contacted by someone like Mark or Ed Smart or Mark Klaas, who can give them tips on how to keep Isabel in the news.

LE is helping with the two hour pressers but soon it will fade away and then they need to be available if they can find a way to do it without falling apart.

Did anyone hear Wendy Murphy on JVM ask (in an accusatory manner) "WHY did the police have to get TWO search warrants to go in the house? Why didn't the parents just LET them go in?!?!"

I had been talking with my daughter about the case, dispelling some rumors she heard at school. Richteen turned to the tv and said, "if you read at Websleuths, you'd KNOW the parents did! The police just want to do things right!!" lol

The fact that police are ensuring they have a warrant when they conduct searches of the house says something.

If it were my child, I'd let them search my house and anything else they wanted any time day or night.

The warrant says either the parents are not too cooperative or they think they are going to find something that could be potentially used in a trial later on and they want to be sure it is admissible. Also, warrants usually state what investigators are able to retrieve from the home and what they are specifically searching for.

What does it say if I may ask?

LE said clearly that the parents gave them permission to search but they decided to go the route of a SW.

That is common and I dont know of one single case where a search of a home was done just by permission only and evidence removed from the scene without one.

It opens up a can of worms. They cant just go in there and get anything they want and walk out. They must be specific when asking the Judge for a SW. The probable cause would be met solely because that is the place that Isa was kidnapped from.

When a SW is done an inventory list is given to the renter or homeowners as to what exactly was removed. That way there is no confusion if the homeowner later on finds something missing. It just keeps everyone honest and is SOP.

I would have been more surprised if LE went in without a SW based on just a permission search only.

In the picture of that car in the driveway, it lookslike it has a windshield shade in it. And then they say that fabric and pillows were taken out of it. Makes me wonder if someone wasn't sleeping in that car, (as they also said it doesn't run), and staking out the house from really close up.

Knowing the criticism that TPD went through a little over 5 years ago involving 2 other child murder cases (not insinuating Isabel's case is a murder case), I completely understand what and why they are doing what they are doing.

In February 2007 a manager at a storage facility unlocked a storage locker to clear it out, due to a client's non-payment. The locker contained a Rubbermaid tub with a foul odor. The manager threw it in the dumpster, although she was disturbed by the odor. The next day, she called police and they came and pulled the tub. Inside the tub was a duffelbag containing the remains of 3 year old Ariana Payne. They soon found out that Ariana had a sibling, 4 year old Tyler Payne whose whereabouts were unknown. By the time they identified her, the trash had already been dumped. Had they secured the dumpster when they found Ariana, it's possible they may have found Tyler as well. They were widely criticized for these mistakes. Unfortunately, it is believed that Tyler is somewhere in the Los Reales Landfill. Their father was tried and convicted in their case, currently on death row. His girlfriend (not the mother) pled guilty to 2nd degree murder and is serving 20 years.

So, I think TPD is working very hard to make sure they do everything the way they should. I have the uptmost respect for them and their efforts.

I think it was things the family left in the car when they went to the ball game Friday night or they may have just stored stuff they used often in it.

I had already seen the video of LE taking out the large pillows.

Who said it doesnt run? Who cranked it up to find out?

The dad really got to me. I think the mom held up as well as she could but it was taking everything the dad had to hold it together and not collapse into a blubbering heap!

I think that the mom's job as pediatric nurse in the ER has helped her cope more with this tragedy than dad's experience in the opera or as dental hygienist...just my opinion.

My husband is a doctor and he can remain calm and collected in dire circumstances each day. I thought it was evident that the mom in this case is heartbroken, I'm just saying that she might have a reason to handle it better on the outside and keep those emotions locked up for a brief moment.
