Presumably, this house does not have a basement. Do homes without basements in AZ typically have storage sheds in the backyard (like many homes in FL)? If so, is there such a structure at the Celis' home? I haven't noticed this in various photos or video.

they have a legal advisor that helps them with that (sometimes can get exemption to warrant)

Something just hit me about the ladder under the window. If this snap-shot photo from the video is as of yesterday, I wonder why the ladder is still there and NOT taken into evidence?

That is a good question. Unless it was placed there are the LE had already been to the house and soemone laid it there after the placed had been searched.Only thing I can think of.

When I was growing up, my parents stored things that one might normally expect to find in a shed (rakes, shovels, bicycles) in the garage. Looks like the Celis' have a nice big garage and may not have felt they needed a shed.

LE says they will help/facilitate them.

LE did not discourage them to speak to the media.. They have passed along all media requests to them.

The parents have spoken to detectives and continue to cooperate (won't say how many times)

Won't say if other investigators have sat in on the interviews

Lead sheet questions: they are usually all the same.. reporter asks what questions were changed for this case.

LE explaining that they are very basic and have to be adjusted.. cannot tell what was changed will have to look at it.

Why didn't SC change his court date? LE says it is city court he doesn't know.. it is their schedule

Why didn't BSU interview the parents if they analyze behavior: he said he basically doesn't know their techniques

reward increase: LE says everything is important..if it is a motivator to get folks to come in that is good. 88 crime is handling current 30k reward and getting tips quickly

Thanks to everyone who posted about the presser. I'm trying to follow the thread while I get some things done around the house.

I cannot imagine rolling over and going back to sleep after hearing voices and dogs barking crazily at 6:30 a.m. in a residential neighborhood. Why did she think anyone was in the backyard at that time? I would certainly look out the window before going back to sleep. jmo

I wouldn't...but then again, around here, peeking out the windows at the wrong time will get you killed. But it doesn't strike me as odd to just go back to sleep. There are dogs barking all hours of the night and day, and people yelling, screaming, talking all hours of the day. But that's my neighborhood, which I hope is a far cry from Isabel's.

I assumed that the game ran quite late. A little girl like Isabel might have fallen asleep in the car on the way home, or even gone to the car to go to sleep before the game ended. Either way, if she was asleep when they got home, her parents may just have carried her inside and laid her on her bed. If she woke up later, she could change, but they would not want to wake her at that hour.

This ALSO provides a window of opportunity for a predator to have entered the home while the family was out, and hidden... say in Isa's closet. If he'd been there for an hour or more, the dogs would have quieted down before the family arrived, and he just needed to pop out the screen, grab Isabel, and go. She could have been gone within 5 minutes of them putting her to bed.

In my experience with dogs, if a stranger was hiding in the closet, they would never quiet down and ignore it. And once the family came home they would have gone nuts about it, imo.
