The timeline probably doesn't make any sense to any of us because I don't think any of us actually believe it to be true. Bearing in mind both TG and RF have been previously charged with giving a false report to LE (not in this case but in their previous criminal charges in other cases), so that doesn't earn them any brownie points in this case, for sure. Probably not with LE, either.

Going only on what I suspect is true, here's my new timeline:

11:04 (yes, it's weird to give that exact time but if she happened to look at the clock on her car's dashboard or something it's possible it stuck with her, I'm like that with numbers myself) TG's cousin leaves with her daughter and the girls were playing hide and go seek in the fort
11:30 Bella's sister calls TG and says she can't find Bella
1:18 the 911 call is placed (nearly 2 hours since anyone's seen Bella)

This narrows the window down to sometime between 11:04 and 11:30 that Bella was taken by JR.

Which only brings up more questions.

Was TG, RF and JR still there when the cousin left?
What time did TG and RF actually leave?
Did LE check both their phones for location history and time stamps assuming they both or either has gps on their phones?
Who called the cousin to tell her Bella was missing?
What time did TG and RF actually get back to the house?
What time does the video display when JR was seen shoplifting?
Is there video surveillance that actually shows TG and RF at Walmart that night?
If yes, what time is on that recording?

I think I have 800 more questions but I'll leave it there for now.

If TG and RF had told LE they were at Wal-Mart at such-and-such a time and video does not verify that I suspect that would be enough to charge them with false reporting or more likely, obstruction.

I think they did go to Walmart, otherwise just like you said police would have charged them with false reporting. Walmart would have the time they were there as well. Plus, all 24 hour Walmart stores that I know of have extensive security cams around their perimeter. I'm curious if they were still in Walmart when Rector was, or if he went there after they left. If he went after they left there, then that may suggest Bella could have still been alive and maybe could have been saved if 911 had been called right away with proper info involving Rector being given to le.

And....since a charge of abandonment of a body is in the mix does this not mean that LE MUST KNOW that Bella was murdered at another location other than where she was found?

That is my reading of it, they don't believe she was killed where they found her so charged him also with abandonment.

Just moo

Was mom's cousin one of the adults that went to Walmart with Tania & Ralphy? That's how I'm taking this news interview. I'm starting to wonder if there was actually school that next day or if the kids had off considering Labor Day just passed. Our kids here where I live didn't go to school until Sept 4th, so that may be a reason the kids were still up instead of in bed on a school night. Maybe?

Here's the video with Tania's cousin being interviewed: (Go to 1:05)

http://www.mynews3.com/content/video/default.aspx?videoId=5330534&navCatId=30912

Here's a quick transcript I put together, any errors are mine but I typed exactly how she spoke:

(Quote)
She lost her daughter in like one of the most horrible ways that are possible cuz at 11:04 I had left with my daughter, the kids were in the fort playing hide and go seek, and not even an hour later I got a call saying that she was missing, and then we never saw her again.
(End Quote)

So 11:04PM she left and the phone call informing Bella couldn't be found came less than an hour later. A full hour later would be 12:04AM. Walmart is less than a mile away, literally around a 5 minute drive back to the home. Why did it take Tania Ralphy until 1:18AM to dial 911?

Is it a stretch to assume the cousin went to Walmart with them? If so, then they all possibly left around 11:04. That would coincide with original reports that the parents and other adults left to go to Walmart around 11:30. However, 11:04 is closer to 11:00, not 11:30, so how was the 11:30 able to be given as an approximate time for them leaving for Walmart?

"It is unlawful for a person to knowingly move a dead human body or parts of a human body with the intent to abandon or conceal the dead human body or parts."BBM

From the law, it would appear the act of burying the body would be enough for the "Abandonment of a Dead Body" charge. Once the person is dead, moving it at all if you intend to leave it at that location is illegal, including putting it in a makeshift grave. She still might have been killed somewhere else and moved there, but it doesn't appear to be a requirement of the charge.

My mind keeps rolling back to the post by the poster who tried to do a loose timeline of the events of that night. Coming to the conclusion that they all left the house about the same time. I'm still processing what that could mean.

I mean, I do have to ask myself why it took two of them to go to Wal-Mart to go get snacks (ahem) for the kids lunches the next day. That late at night, on a school night, with kids that needs to be bathed and in bed, why didn't one of them run up to Wal-Mart for what they needed? When I had little kids and they dropped a bomb on me that I needed 2 dozen cupcakes by the next morning, one of us stayed home with the kids while the other went to the store to buy the ingredients for said cupcakes. So both Tania and Ralphy at WM doesn't make sense to start with.

Now, you add the time that Tania's cousin said she got the call that Bella was missing, when she left a little after 11pm and got that call an hour later, that's midnight. That would mean that JJR had to have had Bella almost immediately after the cousin and her daughter left the house. By Tania's ever moving timeline, they were still at the house.

So were they all at the house at the same time, then all left at the same time???

Yeh, I agree, something huge is missing here. There is more to the story and the liars are protecting their own butts. IMO. Still waiting for more arrests, especially now that they funeral is over. LE has to be watching them like a hawk, just waiting for the right moment. Hopefully.

I can't find the video now, but the cousin said when she left "they were playing in the fort". I can't imagine this fort was upstairs right? It was downstairs, or even outside the house? My kids would build "forts" in the house, and drag every blanket out of my linen closet. It was irritating back then, as I was compelled to wash them when they were done. But now, I look back and relish those times, even wish I could turn the clock back (skipping the teen years of course

First mention of playing in a fort. Maybe they were playing hide & seek -in the fort-?

ETA I re-listened, thanks JG. She did say they were playing hide & seek in the fort. I stand corrected.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, BULLHEAD CITY - Justin James Rector, 20, was arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of assault by domestic violence after allegedly choking his live-in girlfriend and attempting to lock her in the closet at a residence in the 1700 block of Arriba Drive. He was taken to the Mohave County Jail.
Oh, yeah. That wouldn't concern me at all. I'd leave this guy with my children any time.....

Have I missed something?

The sister notified Foster's mother and then called her mother. The other adults returned home and they began looking for Bella. When they were unable to locate her, they contacted police at about 1:30 a.m.

Upon learning that Rector had been in the house with the girls, the police began looking for him. They located him on Highway 95 in the area of a local Walmart shortly after 3 a.m. During the interview, they learned that Rector had stolen several items from Walmart, including a shirt, underwear and shoes. He also left behind his shoes, which the police were able to retrieve.

Rector admitted that he was at Grogan's house but said he left shortly after the mother and other adults. He told the police that he went to a friend's house in the area but that person was not home. He claimed he stayed there for a while anyways before going to Walmart.

During this time, the search for the young girl had already begun. At approximately 10:15 p.m. Sept. 2, Rector was placed under arrest for shoplifting. He remained in custody as the search for Bella continued.

LE located JJR on the morning of Sept 2, 3:00 AM. At that time LE determined JJR had shoplifted at the Wal-Mart.

Why did LE wait until Sept 2, 10:15 PM to arrest JJR for shoplifting? Did they want to maintain immediate access to him during the Isabella search and subsequent interviews of TG, RF and 10YO, or was it that LE did not gain access to view the Wal-Mart video until later in the day?

I just posted it in my last comment. Yep, she said they were playing hide & seek in the fort. I'd like to know if the fort was inside or outside. I used to love making forts in my living room with all the cushions, pillows & blankets that I could find lol. So it makes me wonder if those kids did the same thing.

PS - Really happy to see ya Knox. Miss ya! :blowkiss:

They would have to track him down first, then some time would be spent on questioning...if he was detained, rather than there voluntarily, they can keep him for as long as it takes to figure out if he is involved in the crime he is detained for, so if a Walmart employee said he shoplifted, and it took a while to review the tapes, they could keep him for a while. I'll bet he was at the station from the time they located him until he was charged. JMO, of course.

Hold on a sec... I just remembered that a neighbor said they just saw Bella and the kids playing hide and seek earlier that night. I think it might be the same neighbor that said police knocked on their door around 2:00AM asking if they'd seen Bella but their response was no except earlier playing hide and seek and they didn't hear anything earlier bc they'd been asleep. Anyone remember this?

But that doesn't jive with news reports stating he turned himself in for shoplifting. They had him in there and then released him, then they arrested him later for the shoplifting. Why the delay in time? Why'd they release him in the first place? Weird. Maybe I'm misunderstanding how it really went down but that's what I remember. I thought they released him bc he was posting on Facebook.

So IF the fort was downstairs, and the kids were playing in it. All the adults present were obviously aware of what they were doing right? Where was Rector? Tania initially said she didn't know he was there. Was he lurking outside?

OT- Me too sweet-cheeks, I've noticed a change in you :happydance:

Now I am confused. This article says:
"Police caught up with Justin James Rector near a Wal-Mart store in Bullhead City on Tuesday shortly after the family of Isabella "Bella" Grogan-Cannella reported her missing. He was booked into jail later that night on suspicion of shoplifting and remained in custody as authorities searched for Isabella."

That is what I have thought all along. When did he turn himself in and when was he out of police custody?

I just realized something... I automatically assumed that if Tania was telling the truth about Rector not being there when she left, that maybe she left the slider unlocked and that's how Rector got in. Well what about if one of the kids let him in? Actually, that wouldn't make sense would it, bc I'd think the 10 y/o would have mentioned that to police when she said he was playing hide & seek with them? Or...could the kids have been playing hide & seek outside just a bit earlier and the 10 y/o got the time mixed up? Nvm, none of it makes any sense. None of the times add up. None of the reports add up. Nothing at all makes sense why 911 wasn't called right away. When an 8 y/o goes missing that late at night, let alone even if it were during the day, to take that long to dial 911 is unacceptable. Why not call 911 as you're running out of Walmart? I'm curious what's on those Walmart tapes? Does it show the group rushing out of Walmart upon receiving that call or does it show them checking out and walking to their vehicle?

He was released later that morning and he posted on FB that he was questioned and cleared...If I recall correctly.

Does LE do toxicology tests as a matter of course even when they know the cod?
