The last time I read the linked article, only the raw video was posted. This is a must watch JMO.

There is true vitriol in TG's affect as she speaks out about her own mom. However, I have a hard time reconciling that with the lady I see speaking so eloquently about her granddaughters in every media clip. :waitasec:

I continue to wish Bella's siblings healing and strength in the coming days and months. They have seen and experienced more in their young lives than most. Until the adjudication process is completed, their lives are not their own. That instability must be balanced, and I hold onto the hope that everything is being done to assist them.

Their best interests are what matters, along with :justice: for Bella.

Rector reportedly told detectives that he smoked methamphetamine throughout the day in an upstairs bedroom the day the girl disappeared.

Isabella, who often went by “Bella,” was reported missing during the early morning hours on Sept. 2. Her body was found on Wednesday in a shallow grave close to her home, officials with the Bullhead City Police Department said.

The Medical Examiner said that the 8-year-old girl was strangled to death .

According to a search warrant conducted on Sept. 4 by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at the girl’s home, detectives removed a number of computers, tablets and cell phones. They also seized soiled linens, clothing, a piece of a mattress and a bag of garbage.

Rector has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping, child abuse and abandonment of a dead body . He is being held without bond in the Mohave County Jail.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 19. He federal public defender has been assigned to represent him. Rector has been described as a family friend. Authorities said he has a lengthy criminal history.

There should be NO DOUBT that the parents are guilty of child endangerment.

It also brings up the question of Grandma - RF's mom... If this was taking place in her bedroom, it is a pretty good assumption that she was a user. It *might* explain why she slept through everything too - After sleepless meth runs, users tend to crash hard.

Things are getting clearer as to the unfixed timeline, inconsistent versions of events, and why a ten year old was the only one capable of reporting what Bella was last seen wearing.

I'm curious why they took a piece and not the whole thing.

I surmise that the initial tests were positive for either bodily fluids, blood or both. They took the section(s) that tested positive for further analysis. They would have also collected hair and skin for DNA analysis.

My son is studying criminal forensics - what a nasty job this collection would have been!

Unless Grandma had been bed bound, then there's no other reason that she wasn't up immediately helping Bella, or Bella's sister!!! That poor child. 10yrs old and the only person acting like an adult. How sad. I pray she get to enjoy the rest of her childhood, but sadly it's been tarnished. I'm afraid the events of that night will forever be a part of her life. I pray she won't fall into the same cycle as her parents. I'm sickened to think of the amount of responsibility that was placed on this young child's shoulders.

I don't think any judge or jury will look lightly at meth users, especially in this case.

Has everyone seen this video? It's a little different than the one out there that one pulled portions from this one. Ralphy speaks. Justin's cousin talks about Justin being a drug addict and told of a prior time when he held a knife in a stand off against police before pleading with them to shoot him. Tania said she's more of a mom than her mother ever was.

I so want to feel sympathy to anyone that has lost a child to a disease, murder, car accident, etc. I honestly get a panic attack feeling to just think of it being one of mine. An awful shaky feeling. I can't imagine, and pray that I NEVER experience that. I don't know that I could go on living.

BUT, then in these cases, when the parents are neglectful and put their child into a lion's den, expecting the lion to react like a kitten... I can't feel for them. Then I feel guilty for feeling that way. BUT, I can't help it. I'm a very sensitive person. Never grew that thick skin. And all these babies/young children dying hurts more than I thought could be possible. Kids I never met, never will now.

Someway, somehow I need to learn to be a sleuth, and set aside emotions and feelings, and look only for facts. Sadly the facts in so many cases lead to emotions and feelings. Ugh!!

Dearest Bella, I don't honestly think you can see or know what's going on here on Earth. I don't think that people that have died would be happy, and carefree in Heaven if they could know what's here on Earth. So I hope you are having the time of your life! A birthday party that never ends! All the animals to love on, other kids to play with, bubbles to blow, butterflies to land softly on your nose, and experience a peace that is beyond anything we can imagine. I pray you're getting to be a kid, without any worries, without worrying about anything. Enjoy your everlasting life, peace, and happiness. Hugs sweet child. If you get a chance, will you look for the beautiful black horse named Major? He LOVES kids, and nothing makes him happier than taking a child for a ride. Tell him I miss him more than I thought possible, and if a huge brown horse comes up and knickers to you, ask if it's Shane. He gets jealous if kids ride Major and not him. So be sure to take a friend, and fly through the meadows with Major and Shane. You won't regret it! They'll take extra good care of you both.

Not that such a defence hasn't been used before...

I would think logically, that unlike mental illness, drug use was a choice.

One doesn't get behind the wheel of a car intoxicated, killing someone and then claim they can't be held responsible since they were drunk.

CPS,Once again A BIG FAILURE ! No surprise there ! I do not understand how they keep failing children and nothing changes !!!!!!!!! WTH "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." - Albert Einstein ................................ They failed my grandson and his sister ,they fail 99% of our children ! Sickening IMO ! The abuse stopped once I explained that going to prison to save my grandson was the very the best reason and exactly what happened to the person who murdered my cousin !
