On January 26,2011, Fox News reported that Mesa, Arizona police are investigating a kidnapping of a 9 year old girl that was baited by a sex offender, using a puppy to lure her into his grasp.

Kidnapping will get him a much harsher sentance (I HOPE) than he would have recieved for sexually abusing a child ( justice system is so screwed up in child sexual abuse cases).

A Mesa man convicted of trying to kidnap a young girl and attempting to have sexual conduct with a minor has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Maricopa County prosecutors say Jeffrey VanWagoner also was sentenced Friday to lifetime intensive supervised probation.
