Judge Wayne Timmerman sat quietly Thursday morning, listening closely as the prosecution described the abduction and rape of a 9- year-old girl.
After Martin Morris pleaded guilty to nine charges in the case - including kidnapping, lewd and lascivious molestation, lewd conduct, and luring or enticing a child - Timmerman's voice was harsh.
In a plea deal with prosecutors, Morris was sentenced to 35 years in prison, to run consecutively with a life sentence that he received earlier this year for an unrelated carjacking conviction.
