Great article with timeline

Glendale 5-year-old girl still missing, answers pursued
http://tucsoncitizen.com/arizona-ne...-year-old-girl-still-missing-answers-pursued/

With each day that passes, authorities say the search becomes that much harder. Physical evidence erodes, memories get fuzzier and, if it is abduction, there’s more time to travel elsewhere.

Here’s a look at the search, which now has stretched beyond 10 days.

Is anyone but me wondering what the outcome of the family attacking the investigation will be? Anyone else wondering if the focus on Mom will become stronger, especially with no leads coming in?

I haven't wanted to say this because I hope this case has a much much better outcome. But this case reminds me so much of Shaniya's in some ways -- the adorable pictures while in someone else's care, then goes missing after returned to the mom...

How I wish both of these girls would have just stayed put.

The girl was locked inside the house while the other children were playing outside. When Hunter returned home, the door was unlocked and the 5-year-old was gone.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...ng_attention_because_shes_black_grandmot.html

I find this curious. It has been reported that the older children were assigned some sort of yard chores outdoors while mom ran her errand.

1) Why was Jahessye locked inside while the rest of the chilrden were told to be outside at that time?

2) does this mean the older children who were told to do yard chores were locked out of the home while mom was gone?

Has any explanation been offered about this?

It has also been reported that Jahessye was not assigned a yard chore because she is little and that sort of work was not required of her. Okay, well that is wonderful, but why was she locked in the house? She couldn't just be outside with her siblings while they did their "big kid" chores?

This locking door thing is bothering me. Something about this scenerio is off from even before the time mom leaves IMO, well before Jahessye is missing.

Listened to the Peas in Their Pods interview...some highlights for those that cannot listen
Mom explained what happened day J went missing- she called a cab to go run errands. cab came earlier than she expected and it made her rush. Older kids were told to clean up yard cuz it was time to get that done. Since J was the smallest she was not made to do chores like the older kids. asked J to go outside w/sisters. left and got in taxi. locked door when she left. Returned 30-40-50 minutes later. door was unlocked so she started looking frantically for her baby. Asked 2 neighbors who were outside when she left and they said they didn't see anything. Searched and contacted police. Everything is in the police record. Wants to go worldwide, not just national

bbm

I'm sure LE has looked into the cab story. But it doesn't sound right to me. Can't put my finger on it... In the 911 call, remember that she never comes out directly and says where she had been?

The older children were in the back doing chores and Jahessye was watching television. Hunter says she locked the door and thought her daughter was safe.

"I feel really, really remorseful because I should have said things differently" said Hunter. "I think about what I could have done differently, moving a little slower, I should have said go out back..I mean specific because..at a time like this, you think about what you should have done."

Did say, should have said? Wonder which it was - if either?

I'm going to see if I can find the actual podcast. I want to hear it with my own ears. I'll be back with a link if I do.

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/peasintheirpods/2011/10/24/domestic-abuse

that wasn't too hard to find.

Okay, I just listened and (IMO) these people are all over the place. One minute they are concerned for their baby, then the media is slighting them and so many missing other children who they checked on...and are not being talked about.
The most offensive thing to me though was the fact, she accused LE of trying to destroy or tear apart their family, with all of the facts (about the mother) coming out...exposing her other children to those facts. They are off, I totally agree...something is off.
Why wait until morning...if you know something..call now.

To anyone else who listened to the podcast....
In the beginning, when Mom is describing what happened when she found J missing. Mom says she came back, found front door unlocked, and began frantically looking for her baby.
Does Mom say she went outside and asked 2 neighbors who were there when she left and they didn't see anything?

Police, family at odds as AZ girl remains missing
http://www.wwltv.com/news/national/132482453.html

"We feel that law enforcement is not active in finding Jahessye and that they're more active in persecuting me instead of finding out where she is," said Jerice Hunter, Jahessye's mother, hours before she was planning to march on the state capitol in downtown Phoenix to draw more attention to the case.

and
Jahessye's grandmother, Shirley Johnson, has said that Hunter changed after her release from prison and loves her children.

"I have nothing to hide," Hunter said. "I have been forthcoming with law enforcement from day one. I let them turn my home into a crime scene hours after I reported that I couldn't find my daughter.

"They didn't find anything, but they're holding my children hostage," she said.

from same article above- BBM

More than 100 officers and volunteers canvassed the girl's neighborhood the week of her disappearance. They looked in pools, garbage bins, and shrubs; interviewed and searched the homes of registered sex offenders in the area, and stopped at every door to spread news about the disappearance and pass around her photo.

That certainly differs from the comment Grandma made in the radio interview that police told her RSO's have rights and they couldn't talk to them

Yes that is exactly what she said!!

Lynnb, did JH or SJ mention the Father of the unborn baby or a boyfriend in that interview? Why is that such a mystery? ABC15 needs to interview a neighbor and ask who came and went from their home.

"They didn't find anything, but they're holding my children hostage," she said.

IF they didn't talk to the children, they would complain about that-I am sure.

Idea---if they searched more and complained less, they might find her. **sighs

Yes that is exactly what she said!!

The first time I heard it, it didn't register to me.
If the neighbors were there when she left and were still there when she came home....how did J walk right by them?

No men were mentioned in the interview (except for Police and RSO's.)
Mom's record was never mentioned at all.
Mom claimed she "fled" California to get away from all the RSO's. (she neglected to mention her husband is one.)

I have been looking for reports/coverage on how the 2pm march on the Capitol went but haven't seen anything yet. Or anything on the courtdate Grandma had today about custody. I'm keeping my eyes open.
