In approx 15 there is a show called " Missing Child Newser" coming on the local Glendale tv station. Here is the link
http://glendale-az.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?publish_id=4

I don't know what it is, but I'll watch it and report back if it's about Jahessye

it is about J. right now they are replaying the press conference...

The whole program is a replay of the Press Conference held on Oct. 18. There is a q & a after the officer speaks. It is worth watching if you have never seen the actual presser before (i haven't)
Interesting note....when a reporter asks if they have spoken to the other kids and what did they say? The officer replies that there are facts in the case that they want to hold close right now. When asked if there were any red flags in their statements he replies their statements are consistent with their ages.....getting various degrees of details depending which child you talk to.

I feel LE knows a lot more than they are releasing right now.

also. this show replays every couple hours. if you go to the link there is a program schedule on the right

I think she had already gotten rid of Jahessye before the older kids came home from school. IMO, she locked them out while she was gone so they couldn't attest to Jahessye not being there when the mom left. I think the mom told them Jahessye was inside then locked the door so that they never saw her.

MOO

Haven't been here because my dobie just...

If that were the case, wouldn't they have been left outside for quite a bit of time before JH came home?

And then I keep going back to how would JH get into a cab without it being obvious she had Jhessye. And then there would be the cab driver who I'm sure LE has talked to, had cadaver dogs sniff the cab etc. Even if the cab dropped off and picked up JH someplace near where she placed Jhessye, I just have a very hard time seeing her carrying Jhessye the rest of the way.

I dunno, their's so much screwy going on I can't seem to nail down exactly what it is, but I'm still on the fence and hoping that Jhessye is brought home.

I don't think think she put Jahessye in a cab with her. I think she probably had help. LE says they're looking at some other family members as well, I think?

When the other kids got home from school, I think she told them, "I gotta run to PLS - stay outside and do your chores (or whatever they were doing). Jahessye's inside watching TV" and then rushed off before any questions could be asked, etc.

JMHO

ETA: Your Dobie just...? I hope that doesn't mean gone? If so, I'm so sorry.

I had a thought. My daughter grew up in a home much like this. She had 7 older siblings from several different fathers. Her father is incarcerated and mom was on and off drugs, no stable living environment, no job, the works... The environment she was being raised in was completely chaotic and there was no supervision whatsoever. Mom was too busy worrying about mom and just kind of let the kids do as they wished. The 4 oldest have all had trouble with the law and been in and out of jail. The next 3 oldest all have serious behavioral issues. My daughter seems to have escaped a lot of that because she was removed from the home so young. Luckily, neglect seemed to be the biggest issue in the home rather than all out physical or emotional abuse.

That said, it makes me wonder why these things don't happen more often. Kids wandering off, getting kidnapped, etc...because no one is really paying attention. To me, it is quite possible that she somehow wandered off and ended up getting picked up by an abductor. Kids in charge of kids in what is apparently a chaotic and fractured family life-away from the aunt who raised her, her siblings left to their own devices. Who knows???

can someone please tell me what video nurse is talking about-I can not seem to find it-TIA

SK, it is no longer the first video and you know what.. I hate that outlet! You cannot open their videos into a window to copy and paste (or I haven't figured it out at least...)

I believe the one you asked for the link to was the one about past abuse...

IMO...This case went eerily silent today in the media. Grandma went to her CPS hearing yesterday and they gave her a gag order and said she could not talk about CPS proceedings.
But....that gag order should not involve speaking about finding Jhessye.....so where did everyone go?

The VIEW just had a segment on Jahessye and the fact that there is a racial bias in missing person cases.
They didn't really speak about Jahessye's situation.. just the bias, but at least they had a big pic of precious baby girl ...

Volunteer in Jhessye Shockley case takes unconventional approach

It's close to Halloween, so I figured why not wear a sexy cop costume," said Kimberly Troup, who passed out fliers at 45th Avenue and Glendale Road.

Troup's ensemble included a police cap, short shorts and black patent boots. CBS 5 News crews saw quite a few cars and pedestrians stop to take fliers from her.

"Sex sells, unfortunately. So it gets people to stop. And that way we can get the fliers out," said Troup. "I would just hope if something happened to my kids people would help me too."

Police scoured a ditch near the home of missing Glendale 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley Tuesday afternoon.

They were looking at clothing found in the ditch. Police put the items in paper bags and took them away from the scene.

Police said the clothing initially looks to be adult-sized and possibly from a transient.

Thinking of you Jahessye, where are you little one?

“All the time and energy that’s focused on my daughter’s past should go toward looking for Jhessye,” said Ms. Johnson, who flew in from northern California to help in the search. “The press needs to go beyond my daughter. They’re paying attention to one thing. I believe someone was watching Jhessye and knew her routine. It was a predator. As soon as you let your guard down, they snatch.”

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/27/u...ome-to-question-her-mother-jerice-hunter.html

BBM This statement by Jhessye's grandmother is very confusing to me. What was routine about that day? Was it routine that Jhessye missed school? Was it routine for the siblings to be outside in the backyard doing chores while their 5 year old sister was locked within the house while mom ran errands? Was it routine for mom to take a taxi to the PLS and be in a rush?

To me it sounds as if that day was anything but routine, so what routine exactly was the alleged predator watching and exactly how did that further his/her abduction plan?

During Monday’s rally, Hunter complained about the decision by Child Protective Services to remove her other children from her home.

“You done locked my other kids away like primates in a laboratory,” she said.

Jhessye’s grandmother, Shirley Johnson, attended a hearing on custody of the children on Monday, according to KPNX, but she was not allowed to discuss what happened afterward.
