BBM...

IMHO...I think Jerice will be convicted with or without Jhessye's remains being located. I think GPD has other forensic evidence. But finding Jhessye would definitely make the case that much stronger.

It's also not totally about nailing Jerice. It's also about respect for a human being and for those that loved her. Jhessye needs to be laid to rest with dignity, and Tycora needs to have some small measure of peace in knowing that Jhessye is not still lost in a landfill.

Jerice and Shirley seem to have trouble comprehending those concepts of love and respect.

That corner is a nice tribute to the charming child who was Jhessye. She has not been forgotten by her community.

I can't find a link to share, but did hear on the local news today that there have been items found with Tempe addresses near where they feel little Jhessye's body was dumped.

She hasn't been found and the search will resume on Tuesday.

I so hope they find her.

I just can't imagine how those GPD officers can work under those conditions for that long. They are truly heroic.


I wish there was a way to let them know how much I admire their dedication to Jhessye.

While they have not turned up any significant evidence, police are confident that Jhessye's body is in the landfill. When they first started, the search teams were getting through 50 tons of trash each day. Now that they've settled into the search, they're up to 100 tons per day.

Searchers have managed to keep up that pace despite recent winds in the area.

"It makes things a little more difficult because debris begins to pick and move," Glendale Police Sgt. Brent Coombs explained. "We don't want to lose any of that so we have to slow operations down a little to maintain what he have, make sure that we go through everything and nothing is missed."

"As long as it takes for us to get through every last bit of that trash in that area is as long as we will be out there,” Coombs said on the first day of the search. "It's extremely important to investigators to find those remains because no 5-year old-should be left in a landfill."

The Glendale Police Department said it will be adding more search crews when the operation picks up on Tuesday.

I hope she is sweating bullets about now. I imagine a caged animal, pacing back and forth. Just pacing. She must know she is going down.
