PHOENIX -A law enforcement official has confirmed to FOX 10 that Jerice Hunter, the mother of a missing Glendale girl, will be booked into the 4th Ave Jail on Thursday afternoon.

I saw 2 butterflies while walking to pick up the kiddos from school. Always makes me think of Jhessye and the other missing little ones. So glad that Jerice has been arrested and charged with murder. Justice for Jhessye and prayers for healing for her siblings.

My sister in AZ just sent me a link to the news! So glad that Jhessye will get some justice! I can't imagine how the many people who searched and searched for her are feeling now. Prayers for the truth to come out and for Jhessye to be found.

Glendale police confirm with ABC15 that the mother of Jhessye Shockley has been arrested and is facing murder and child abuse charges.
Glendale Police Assistant Chief Rick St. John said Jerice Hunter was arrested at 1:30 p.m. on charges of first-degree murder and child abuse.
Glendale Police Sgt. Brent Coombs said there will be a press conference about the Jhessye Shockley murder investigation at 4 p.m.
Jhessye’s cousin, Lisa Vance, tells ABC15 News Hunter was arrested in Mesa, however police did not confirm the location.
ABC15 is working to provide live coverage of the press conference at 4 p.m.
