Peterson convicted and Jerice indicted all within 24 hours? Lady Justice is working overtime to restore my faith in the judicial system.

What I hope for: That Jhessye is flying free with all the other little ones we borrow to our hearts; that Shirley be charged for handing the children back; that Jerice be convicted and sentenced stiffly (unlike many maternal filicides we follow); and, that little Lauryn and Jhessye pave the way to more indictments against parents for murdering their children despite their remains not being located. Please, please let this be a sign of changing tides!

Your post just made me bawl. I believe Jhessye's body is in a landfill and that it will never be found. How close Somer came to this same end. I don't think Harrell would have ever been convicted if they had not found Somer's body.

In my minds eye, I picture Somer receiving Jhessye, surrounded by butterflies.

I really hope her egg donor is convicted. I will never understand how anyone could hurt these lovely, precious gifts.. much less their own mother.

Its been a decent day in our judicial system. G'nite peeps. You all make me have faith in man/womankind.

Just found out that there may be justice for Jhessye after all. I really am hopeful that a jury will find her guilty. This monster needs to be put away for life! When I think what this poor child went through, I get sick to my stomach. God bless the police for working so hard on this case. I know Jhessye would be proud! Jhessye, little angel, may you rest in peace!

I seriously doubt that she or anyone in her circle has the means to bail her out. Bet the judge had to set bail by AZ guidelines.

wow, so no one has lived in the apartment where Jhessye died since Jerice moved out huh. Suggests to me that locals know where she died and who is responsible and want no part in it.

The day of reckoning is coming Jerice. I bet you thought everyone was going to forget and you were going to go your merry way.

Lisa Vance, Hunter's cousin who raised Jhessye for 41/2 years while Hunter was in prison on child-abuse charges, said the news was welcome.

"Absolutely overwhelmed is the word for it," she said, describing her reaction to the news. "It's been a long time coming."

The contrast in jerice's behavior in court is laughable. Remember the earlier video's of the "march to the capitol" and the interviews she did with Donna Rossi?

She's so demure now, almost little-bo-peepish. It's ok to show your fear jerice. The judge denied electronic monitoring and you're staying right there where you belong. Sure Arpaio will take extra good care of you!!

A little more than two months ago, Glendale police announced the search for Jhessye's body in a landfill ended without a trace of the girl.

Rick St. John, assistant police chief, said at the time that investigators know she's still in the landfill somewhere, which has 691 acres full of garbage in total.

He said there's "irrefutable evidence" she's there somewhere, although he declined to elaborate on what that evidence was.

I've not followed this case but read this thread,I have nothing but total admiration for this LE, searchers etc.no way have they failed the family (who actually raised jhessye).

This woman deserves what she gets,to do this to your own flesh and blood then dispose of her like a piece of garbage urgh furious! Thank goodness for the witness('s) that came forward with those tips.

There are people on this earth that desperately want children and are unable to yet here we have this woman who appears to be breeding like there is no tomorrow.
Children are supposed to be a blessing to he cherished and loved not treated like this!!
