They say tips and investigative work led them to suspect that Jhessye's body was disposed in a Tempe trash bin and taken to the landfill days before her mother reported her missing on Oct. 11.

Read more: http://www.azcentral.com/news/artic...ll-search-missing-girl-brk.html#ixzz1oeaFYfPT

things that jump out: tips (plural, so not just one, good to know) and investigative leads (assuming this was the info that they got via investigation that may have helped LE see the tips as credible)

Also they are so specific as to the date of refuse they are looking for.

All ofthese items together make it seem likely that someone either took Jerice to the location in tempe where LE suspects she disposed of Jhessye - makes me wonder if her ride gave her up and happened to mention her lugging an old suitcase or other container to a dumpster.

Or perhaps someone witnessed her dumping "something" into the dumpster and then further investigation indicated Jerice was indeed in that area at teh time the witness said.

Wish I knew exactly what the tips were and who they came from.

Hoping for soon. I so want resolution for Jhessye's loved ones.

http://www.azcentral.com/news/artic...e-limit-landfill-search-missing-girl-brk.html

Authorities will likely continue their search at a landfill south of the Valley for weeks to come unless they find a missing Glendale girl's body first.

Glendale police leaders say they haven't placed a time limit on their search for 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley's remains and won't reassess until after they get through the section of trash they believe is most likely to contain her body.
wow... they are still on that section  at one time I googled the square footage that was posted (to get an idea of the size)

and up popped a warehouse... imagine the cubic feet they are having to sift thru...

Geez, Nurse! That boggles my tiny mind.

Not just the sheer amount of stuff, but the unimaginable odor and just plain ole grossness.

I honestly can't imagine. It seems almost futile, but I'm hoping it is not.

I don't know why, but lately I have a good feeling about the search.
Hope through hopelessness maybe.

This is one of the teams sniffing...

I get a sense that this landfill is holding Jhessye's remains, just waiting to be discovered. Bless those searchers and their determination to find Jhessye. I pray that angels keep them safe as they dig through endless decayed gunk. It is heartbreaking to think of Jhessye's remains lying hidden in that filth. Let Jhessye come home to rest in peace in a place chosen by those who really loved her..
I agree with other posters that both Jerice and Shirley belong there, it's the most suitable place for those two pieces of human garbage.

IMHO

Amanda and Cali, I hope y'all are right. That poor baby deserves a decent resting place.

In that news link with the video of shirley. If you freeze frame you can read some of the things she has written on that paper. One of them was (paraphrasing) something about the tip and how do you know Jhessye is there. Another was what kind of technology are you using?

I laughed my butt off. Really? Ya think they are going to answer all those questions SCOTT MAASEN? Who do you think helped shirley, who can barely compose a complete sentence, think of what to ask in that meeting?

I'm waiting for the meeting that wipes the smile off that "grandmother's" face. Too bad we can't have a sit-down with her; heart to heart and grandmother to grandmother.

I also applaud GPD for their restraint to be able to hold that meeting after all the hate and venom that woman and her daughter have spewed.

Baby girl, you're in my prayers every day.

My thoughts are with Jhessye's siblings today, particularly 13yr old J.

Checking in and hoping with all I've got that Jhessye is found SOON!! That baby does not deserve to lie in that horrid place any longer. PLEASE let today be the day she comes home to those who love her so much!!!

A new group of searchers have also rotated in to get new feet on the ground in the search for Jhessye.

and

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Department is also helping out by lending four sets of cadaver dog teams.

So impresssed by the searchers' dedication and LE's refusal to give up on this search til they've satisfied themselves they cannot find her there.

""If I knew where my child was she would be here," Hunter said. "Do you understand that? If I could take back Oct. 11 I would never have walked out that door to go run an errand. I am not claiming anything negative. I know in my heart that Jhessye is still with us here on earth. I'm not going to speak anything negative into existence because my faith tells me to do just that, to stay positive and to trust God," said Hunter." http://www.kpho.com/story/16004337/missing-girls-mom-gives-first-sit-down-interview?utm_source=moreToExplore&utm_medium=rec&utm_campaign=content

What does that even mean? This is a very bizarre interview.

Jerice is just trying to scam as usual. Any "faith" that Jerice might claim to have is just more of her attempts at manipulation. I guess the race card hasn't been all that effective, so now she will use that oldie but goodie...the God and Religion card.

GPD has reason to believe that Jhessye was in the landfill before Oct. 11. So maybe what Jerice actually regrets about that day is not having a better story...

although it's a new crew, police told CBS 5 News they have the procedure down to a science.

"Once the HAZMAT guys are done, cadaver dogs will run through before searchers go through with their rakes and their hoes," explained Sgt. Brent Coombs with Glendale police.

I'm glad they are staying positive and getting a good system down. I'll bet they will learn a lot from this search.

I can't help but have a feeling that we may get to Holy Week again and have Jhessye returned to us the way Laci and Conner were from the sea. I wish it would be sooner for the searchers' sake, but I just keep thinking about the timing.

:please:

The search would never have been undertaken unless GPD had some solid evidence that Jhessye is there in that landfill.

I think they will find her. Somehow I just have to believe that.
