Oh gosh, I think this is one of the kids as the secret witness. I have never heard of a witness hugging the accused right before testifying like that. I hope that does not sway the jury. Hopefully, if the witness is one of the kids, they hugged her awkwardly in and "I'm Sorry" kinda way before they go up there and tell all of the truth about the horrific things jerice has done.

As long as the witness tell the truth about jerice and testifies against her, then that might even help the jury believe this witness even more because they can see this witness cared about jerice and nevertheless cannot deny the awful things that jerice did like abuse the kids, and torture and kill Jhessye and then discard her body. Sadly, one of the kids did say that Jhessye was in the closet, they were scared to help and then the closet started smelling like there was a dead body in there.

I also thought there was a son who siad jerice did nice things for him like buy him a Halloween costume? Hopefully the jury understands that one child can be treated well and even pampered there are often instances where the other child is demonized, tortured, beaten , deprived and discarded.

The parent manipulates the children by reinforcing that the abused child is "bad" and "deserves it", while the unabused child is considered "good" and praised for the things they do, even if they do things that are bad. They can even be rewarded for assisting in abusing the other child or covering up the abuse by saying that the other child is not abused. The "good" child learns to cover up and lie for the abuser and is rewarded (and also threatened if they tell the truth that they will become the "bad" child.

I pray the kids are healed enough and had enough therapy to be able to face jerice and tell the truth and testify about what she did, without being afraid.
