I'm trying to get an update. Who is up now? And what did the daughter testify to? How did the jurors react to her testimony? TIA!!

Gitana - The daughter testified to seeing little Jhessye not able to stand, looking zombie-like. She did walk in and hug Jerice though! She admonished the defense attorney (maybe thinking it was prosecution) to leave Jerice alone. We have heard from a few detectives, they just brought in the carpet from the closet, and we have heard from CPS regarding claims of abuse. We also heard from the neighbor that drove Jerice with a "suitcase" to a dumpster. :cry:

Yes, it was a quite frustrating to know some of the most pertinent information in this case was being delivered on the stand and we got so little of it tweeted out.

Thanks, I've never seen that word on a docket motion, hopefully when the ruling is posted it'll be clarified.

If the DNA turns out to be inconclusive, as the defense has said, just the fact that the daughter said Jhessye was in the closet during her last days and the fact that there was a substantial amount of blood on the back, the jury can put 2+2 together.

I would love to see a display of the before and after pictures of the apartment! I did see one of the living room pictures here and I was astounded at the amount of "damage" done to the former neatness after only 3 days. There was a baby mattress there, and I'm wondering if one of the children slept on it in the living room.

Of course, the children were in the house until they were taken by CPS. They could have caused the mess while Jerice spent her days sitting outside with her buddies during the search.

I also wonder where her newborn was placed after birth.

The dumpster really is sad. People throw their children away like garbage... and then go and eat lunch as though nothing even happened.. GOOD GODS!!! I just don't get it!! That poor little baby. I wish CPS had saved her when they had the chance.

Right after work tonight, I ran home and hurriedly packed a bag. Then we took off for a fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants trip. My kids have been home all week for Spring break. So, I took tomorrow off and surprised them with a trip. So far it has been adventurous.

I am thinking about our little butterfly and how she would have loved the Spring.

Believe09 - I too believe that the cadaver dogs are absolutely amazing! I Hope the jurors understand tbe significance.
