Thanks for the link and clarifying. Good stuff. I couldn't see a reason why it could not be admitted. Then again I'm not a Lawyer or a Judge LOL

I just read the article, thank you for the link. If I remember correctly Jhessye's mother did not report her missing until after the police were involved. Was that brought up in the trial?

Jhessye's mother was the one who called the police to report her daughter "missing," so she is the one who got the police involved initially

Eta: I'm sure she only did so because she was afraid the school was going to get the police involved. I still can't fathom why they let her miss so many days without sending a truant officer.

No minute entry posted yet for Wed. to verify if photo of Jhessye's sister was entered into evidence but it does seem likely it was. Also, no motions from media to live stream closing arguments but if they did file one it may just not be posted yet (fingers crossed).

Thanks to everyone who posted tweets during this trial. I was not able to check in much, so the tweets have helped tremendously. I am also thankful for AmandaReckonwith and her case archives. They are such a wonderful resource.
Jhessye is so close to my heart, and this has been a very difficult case for me to follow. I don't know how those family members who actually love her can stand this trial. I can't imagine the pain.
I commend Lisa,Tycora and Mahogany. They have displayed such constant love for Jhessye. Their kindness gave Jhessye a wonderful life and I hope that they are able to find peace.
Jerice and her evil countenance...she's just sickening. And Shirley should be right there on trial with her daughter. I hope she suffers some form of retribution for her part in Jhessye's suffering and death.

I can't find anything from the media saying that closing arguments will be live streamed. So I guess it won't be available. I hope the jury won't take long to convict her. This whole thing just infuriates me.

Thinking of little Jhessye's family today and how nervous they probably are. It is about to be out of everyone's hands save the jury's. What could be done has been. And now we see what the jury does with this case. Please jury.

I believe everything the oldest daughter said. She did not want to tell on her Mom, not to a jury anyway, not in court in front of her mother.

The Shockley girls look enough alike to be mistaken for each other by casual observers.



Jhessye is on the right. The male said the little girl he saw had bubble hair-ties.
Jhessye's sister, at left, has them and this photo was taken 10/11 or 10/12.
