I have a number of friends in LE and in the justice system and they have no problem at all with Craigslist. I think the consensus is "whip it out where we can all see it". I have mixed feelings as I hate to read articles like this but wouldn't these men have found another way to meet up with other sick people? Where there's a will, there's always a way. Trafficking and bestiality certainly predate Craigslist.
I've never forgotten that it was on Craigslist where I learned of the Polaris Project, an anti-trafficking non-profit organization. When you used to open the Erotic Services section, there was a page of information concerning trafficking. Obviously most people looking for a prostitute couldn't care less and never read it. But I did as I was looking for my daughter. I've come to the conclusion that it's simply a public bulletin board. Caution should be exercised when using it in the same way as one would with the one at the grocery store.
I spend a good bit of time of Craigslist, flagging ads, doing my teensy little part to keep it clean. Flagging works.
