According to NamUs, the unidentified man was found living in Kingman, Arizona in July 2017. The man indicates his name is Sam Carter Perez and he is from Springfield, Missouri. But, the information could not be verified. Authorities believe he is younger than age 30.

The man is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs an estimated 145 pounds. He has brown eyes, black shoulder-length hair and he wears glasses.

A resident of the area found the man sitting under a tree in a canyon area walking trail. He did not have identification.

hmmmm, from that article (and that is the only article aside from the NAMUS listing, it seems):

"All of the information he has provided — we can't prove he's lying, but we haven't been able to verify what he said," Nyquist said. "He's either confused or he's lying. Either way, it's an intriguing case."

Indications are that he is not communicating verbally but via tablet.

So he's been with them a little over 2 months. Surely someone has to be missing him.

So now we have a person who reached Arizona from SW Missouri, and a person who reached Oklahoma from KCK...each unable to identify themselves....

Yeah, I thought that was kind of weird. And they both seem to have disabilities of some kind.

Somebody mentioned the possibility that a group home of some kind had closed, forcing the residents into homelessness. KCK and Springfield aren't that close together though.

BBM: closer than Springfield, MO & Tucson, for sure.

It is actually ONE year and two month ago that he has been found. Dustin from Namus just made new appeal on FB about a week ago and media picked up on it.

Here is link to Dustin's FB appeal - NamUs Dustin Driscoll

(For those who don't use FB here is copy of the above appeal):

*NEW UNIDENTIFIED LIVING CASE*

We are asking assistance from the public to help identify a living John Doe found in Kingman, Arizona. In July of 2017, this young man was found on the side of the road in poor health condition after indicating he was attempting to hitchhike to Oregon.

When asked, he provides his name as "Sam Carter Perez" and indicates he is originally from Springfield, Missouri. We have been unable to verify this claim. His race is currently listed as "Uncertain", but law enforcement believe it is possible he is Hispanic, Native American, or of a mixed race. He is approximately 5'6", weighs approximately 145 pounds, and wears glasses sometimes.

We would like to speak to anyone who has information on this person so we can help bring him home to his family.

The NamUs case link can be accessed here: www.namus.gov/UnidentifiedPersons/Case#/52257

Oh wow. Why Oregon I wonder?

He no longer appears to be in Namus and I don’t see Dustin Driscoll’s FB post about him anymore either. Also no msm articles with an update. Hopefully that means he was identified and able to return to wherever his home is.

Still nothing for updates and Namus page is definitely down. Moderators, could we label it "presumed identified"?
