Laleah Jo Ebentier left her residence in the area of the 8600 block of Via La Serena in Paradise Valley this morning around 1025 hours. She is 84 years old and suffers from a medical condition which may cause her to be confused. She was wearing a floral shirt, green pants, black rubber shoes and glasses. Officials have issued a Silver Alert and is requesting public assist from anyone who may know the whereabouts of a missing endangered adult named Laleah “Jo” Ebentier. Jo is 84 years of age, suffers from Dementia and is reported to have reduced mobility. After further interviews, Officials believe Jo may have left her home at about 1000 hours on Wednesday, 04/08/20 near the 8600 block of North Via La Serena, Paradise Valley, Arizona. She was last known to be wearing a pair of gold bifocals, a green long sleeve shirt with a black sweater, green/black floral shorts and dark blue Crocs with peach colored socks. MCSO conducted a K9 search which brought their handler to the 5200 block of east Hatcher Road. DPS conducted an aerial search of the surrounding areas which yield negative results. Officers and police volunteers conducted door-to-door searches including all washes and brown belts. Paradise Valley Police Department requests all residents in the area to check their surveillance, walk their yards, and share this message with neighbors to help our efforts to safely locate Jo. A week! I always find it hard to fathom someone this age going missing like this, for so long, without a member of the public seeing and assisting her at some point, it leads me to think she has had an accident somewhere and she can't be seen to well.

Very sad, I hope she may be in a medical facility somewhere.

Police stated Laleah “Jo” Ebentier was discovered dead in the backyard of a Paradise Valley home. She had been missing for nearly a month.

Police believe Ebentier may have received a courtesy ride before she went missing on April 8.

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
