WHITERIVER Tribal law enforcement authorities are currently searching for a White Mountain Apache woman who went missing almost two months ago.
According to a flier, the woman, Laverne John, 38, has been missing since Dec. 8, 2017.
John is generally known by her nickname, Geena. She is described as being 5-feet tall and 115 pounds. She has brown shoulder-length hair and is believed to have gone missing from the Pinetop or Hon-Dah casino areas.
People with information are asked to call the Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Justice Services at 928-338-5371; Whiteriver Police at 928-3384942; or the White Mountain Apache Fire Investigator at 928-594-0292.
