What happened? Suicide? Poor girl. Sad to think she may have felt this alone.
I don't think we know yet what happened. I'm not going to be surprised if it's foul play, but suicide isn't off the table either. It's tragic either way.

Hmm, I show 12 minutes, 2.4 miles. I think she was probably very familiar with that trail as the head of the trail was just a few blocks from their house.
I would think that a service road would be blocked off by a gate or chain, wouldn't it?
I found an article that gives much more detail about where she was found;
On Friday, Kaufman said Lefler’s next of kin have been notified and added that there were no signs her death was the result of foul play.

That's the article I was going to post. A brief excerpt:
Hosking said he was out front of the group when he discovered Lefler’s body on the Prescott Valley side of Glassford Hill, about a half-mile off of Prescott Valley’s existing trail to the top.
“It was pretty much in the middle of nowhere,” Hosking said of the site. He added that there were no drop-offs or cliffs nearby.
Noting that he expected the site would become a crime scene, Hosking said he and others left fairly quickly and called the Prescott Valley Police Department.
“I saw what was going on and moved away right away,” Hosking said.
Although he wasn’t certain of the exact jurisdiction, Hosking said the group believed the site was on land identified as Prescott Valley’s annexation area – on Arizona State Trust Land.
I'm surprised she wasn't found sooner.
Did he call it a crime scene simply because he found her deceased or was it clear to him it's a crime scene? If one commits suicide is it a crime scene?
Sort of contradictory. to me anyway.
RIP Lianna.
Her choice to leave work shortly after arriving has confused the heck out of me. Today it dawned on me, if she were suicidal and perhaps people around her were aware of that, maybe particularly vigilant about her safety, her time at work could be the time when her family/friends assume she is safe. So perhaps it was very intentional to leave shortly after being dropped off at work, to have a ~8 hour "head start" before anyone came looking for her. JMO and speculation.

I took the address from Walmart and used Google maps from there (3450 N Glassford Hill) to the top of the hill. It showed that it is a 12 mile drive?
I saw a picture of the hill where she was found. It was more like a hill that is pretty bald, and vacant. How odd that she wasn't seen from the air =(
I thought the same thing (about the bite) - no one wants to think of a person suffering so much that they want to end their life.Amongst her Facebook photos are a few pictures of her and foster sisters on Mount Baldy. I believe this is the same place (Glassford hill) where her body was located.
My feeling is that this was a special place for her, and if she intended to hike up there, that would explain her needing a warmer hoodie.
If she was genuinely feeling ill, then I doubt she would have intended to walk up there. However, if the "feeling ill" was an excuse to buy some time to be alone and perhaps take her life, it makes sense to me that she would go to a place she had been before, where she knew she would be left alone for a while.
I know that at least one of the searchers was bitten by a rattlesnake (thankfully dry bite) during the search, its possible she succumbed to a bite?
I'm so sad for her, and her family and friends who obviously loved her a great deal.
Has it been confirmed suicide?I thought the same thing (about the bite) - no one wants to think of a person suffering so much that they want to end their life.I can only imagine the guilt/grief of family and friends over this. Just completely heartbreaking.
Has it been confirmed suicide?
