GUILTY AZ - Luis Rios, 35, Adrienne Heredia, 29, & 4 kids murdered, La Mesa, 24 June 2005

I did some googling. It appears there is a suspect that was named in Dec 2007 but so far nobody has been charged. A man by the name of Preston Strong is suspected of killing a Yuma DR. There are similarities between the 2 crimes. Strong has been in jail for theft charges. He appeared to be a well known con man. He also new Luis Rios, the boyfriend of the mother and children who were all killed.

A man convicted of killing a local doctor has been arrested in connection with the “La Mesa Murders,” in which six people – including four children – were slain at a Yuma home on June 24, 2005.

Preston Alton Strong was arrested Wednesday and is expected to be charged with six counts of first-degree murder. Police have not publicly commented on a possible motive...

Police also believed there was a second suspect involved in the incident based on witness accounts of a Hispanic man seen walking into the house immediately after the shooting. Strong is African-American. A second suspect has never been publicly identified, and police made no further comment about the matter on Wednesday.
