SILVER ALERT - MISSING PERSON

On March 8th, 2023 at about 11:26 a.m., Lynda Johnston left her home in the area of 106th Ave and Roanoke Ave, Avondale, AZ.

Ms. Johnston left in a 2003 Blue Chrysler PT Cruiser, which had a temporary license plate of U952945.

Ms. Johnston has been diagnosed with Dementia.

Lynda was seen leaving with her nephew, who is a 31-year-old white male with short brown hair and brown eyes, about 5’8”, weighing about 125 lbs.

Ms. Johnston is seventy-four years old, is 5’6”, weighs about 160 lbs, has blue eyes, long black hair, a scar on her wrist and her collarbone. Ms. Johnston has a tattoo on her left upper arm.

Their last known whereabouts was her residence in the listed area.

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was issued Thursday evening for a 75-year-old woman diagnosed with dementia who was last seen in Avondale.

Lynda Johnston stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and has long black hair with blue eyes.

Johnston was last seen on March 8 leaving her residence near 107th Avenue and Thomas Road with her nephew Dylan Johnston.

The pair left in a Blue 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser that has a temporary license plate of U952945.

Dylan Johnston is described as a 31-year-old white man who stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Johnston’s whereabouts was asked to call the Avondale Police Department at 623-333-7001.

Police in San Luis Potosi notified the Avondale Police Department on Thursday that Johnston was found dead in a hotel room.

Her nephew was located and was speaking with Mexican authorities, police said.

"At this time, it appears Ms. Johnston died from medical complications, but it is unknown when this occurred," read a portion of the statement.

Her nephew who was identified as Dyland Johnston, 31, was also found on Friday and was speaking with Mexican authorities, police said.
