I'm surprised they still haven't released her manner of death. They found her the next day. Seems like they've had plenty of time to determine if it was an accident or homicide.

Maybe that's not how the Navajo Nations deal with the murder of children? Have they even mentioned an arrest? IMO

I'm also surprised that the manner of death wasn't released. We can assume that it wasn't considered accidental by reading the wording of the FBI announcement of a reward for "the arrest and conviction of those responsible" for her death.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the death of Maleeka "Mollie" Boone.

The FBI now says 8-year-old Maleeka “Mollie” Boone was likely struck by a vehicle on the evening of Jan. 15. Investigators believe the driver may have hit the girl without realizing it and may have been in a larger vehicle, possibly a pickup truck.

Mollie was last seen playing around 6 p.m. Jan. 15 near Cedar Loop in the Coalmine Navajo Housing Authority area, about 17 miles southeast of Tuba City. Investigators believe she was walking home when a passing driver hit her.

IMO something isn't lining up here. Why the long wait to reveal what happened?

I know right if she was hit by a vehicle how'd she end up in the field when an earlier post said
The FBI gave information about where she was found:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Phoenix, Arizona, and the Navajo Nation Police Department are seeking information regarding the death of 8-year-old Maleeka "Mollie" Boone. On January 15, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Boone was reported missing from her neighborhood in Coalmine, Arizona, on the Navajo Nation. Boone left one family member’s home at approximately 4:15 p.m. to return to the home in which she lived. Both residences are in the same neighborhood and in close proximity to each other. Boone’s body was located in a field within the Coalmine neighborhood at approximately 8:30 a.m. on January 16, 2026.
Just doesn't make any sense unless 1 she was moved to the field after being hit or 2 the vehicle hit her with such force she flew into the field

After looking on Google maps to get a better understanding of the area the only thing that makes sense is she was attempting to cross the 6720 and ended up in one of the open spaces either side

Sorry for the spam posts I need to lay off the monster energys lol but going off the video in the link from post #44 the only road the matches up (used the stop sign as there's not much to go by) is here what's quite a distance from the neighborhood google says sunset was around 5:30pm to 5:55pm in January making it very dark if not pitch black along the road (6720) by 6pm onwards going by my previous post #46 she was returning home in the same neighborhood and close by from where she was last seen it doesn't make sense how she ended up (my guess as thats where the police vehicles in the video clip were) near to the T junction
