I had heard (via Search Coordinator or Logistics Coordinator IIRC) roughly last October 2021 that a woman from Florida had come forward thinking it might be her brother. Any info to verify that or further contact from her? Of course, possibly a misunderstanding or hopeful relative.

I hear that as well, but it is still listed on the Maricopa County ME office as unsolved. It’s interesting I couldn’t find anything on the remains we found on November 6th.

Travis Butler disappeared from Tusayan, so probably too far away, but he appears to have a similar long thin nose.

Thanks! (I'm learning bit by bit on that ME site). My assumption on the Nov. bones was potentially same person, but yeah you'd think they'd note that on the site if true or able to verify.

On NamUs I’ve seen different cases linked together where they’ve notated additional remains belonging to an existing case. I know this info is fed from whoever the submitting authority is, so that would be Maricopa. One thought is that because Maricopa ME only lists open unsolved cases, it’s possibly solved? Buckeye PD has a history of fudging crime statistics, so I’d hate to think that’s what it is.

I personally don’t think the skull found in July and remains from Nov 6th are related. I’ll keep looking for updates.

Not identified on NamUs, nothing on a DNA database. Hopefully the sketch can help. I wonder how many tips have poured in? I hope there are many tips at least based on the sketch, and resolved for closure soon.

McKinleyville is quite far from Maricopa, so I doubt this Sean is our John Doe.
