But steelman she didn't have a purse.

What does that have to do with anything ? He was doing the driving, I'm sure he had a wallet with a drivers license, some credit cards, a debit card and probably some cash. If they stopped in there, I haven't heard anything about it, but it's pretty much the only store around there and they would've traveled right past it to get over to the Interstate.

Good questions being asked now. I'll add a few:

What were Mike's plans on Monday? Where was he going? Did anyone make note of his lack of appearance during the day? I'm going to speculate that he was going somewhere that morning. Otherwise, no reason to "car pool". Unless, for some reason, Tina was not permitted to drive. We have no reason to think that though.

Did Tina's employer call around looking for her? Was it usual or unusual for her not to be at work?

Looking at aerials of the Careccia home, I am seeing multiple vehicles. Google street view shown the same. Also worth noting is that it is a fairly impressive house and property compared to the neighboring homes. Almost a mansion in comparison.

BBM

Exactly, and that could be the very reason they were targeted.

What I haven't seen published anywhere is who the bank robber IS. You'd think by now a msm link would be available following up on that story. (I'm a loooooong way from AZ and don't subscribe to local news reports.)

One positive note; due to the similarities of their looks, there will be more eyes out there looking for them. So, that was more exposure to find "both" of these ladies.
I would think that maybe there would be fingerprints of that person robbing the bank?
IMOO.

I see your logic...but I think 2hope is suggesting that it is not likely that a woman would leave for work without her purse. I know that when I worked in offices I always took my purse but when I didnt work in a setting where I had somewhere to secure my belongings I did not take a purse...

Exactly!

IMO, she wouldn't knowingly go to work without her purse.

especially if her job was in another town -- so that puts us back to Sunday night or Monday morning. I would be interested in the cctv from the convenience store and surrounding area.

Someone upthread brought up the height difference, imo, she is a lot shorter than 5'8" if he's 5'10".

When the car was found, did they take note of the shoe prints around the car? Vans, i believe, have a waffle type print. My son has a pair of the high type vans.

And I am not going to link the robber to the missing woman. I do notice though that the robbery suspect has what appears to be a lot of sunburn, she must have been out in the sun for quite awhile and recent.

I've never known a woman that only has one purse....do they exist ? My old lady has got a dozen of them laying around here and she switches them out depending on what kind of mood she's in or which outfit she's got on that day. Maybe Tina carried around a fanny pack or something.........I don't know.

I only have 1 purse. Never could understand why you would need more than one.

It is my guess that whatever happened- whether it was a runaway or something sinister- happened over night. One option in the runaway scenario is that they used the car in the night to go drop off some supplies for themselves at their getaway spot. Then, they drove the car back and dropped it back off, near home. That way, they don't have to tote all of their items on their backs, but have a little stash of whatever in a "secure" location. This would explain the dust covered car that is usually pristine (which I am not sure how any car isn't dust covered by the looks of those roads!) This is not fact or even an opinion, just an option that popped into my mind.

Excellent thought :)

I read that she is an accountant, so perhaps a briefcase?

What I've noticed about the bank robbery, which I am not going to connect to Tina, is that to me it seems there is a lack of the usual BOLOs and info released to the public saying what to look out for, as far as the car and the suspects, despite the fact that they actually for once have a great photo of the suspect.

I have one purse. If I had to change them I would forget something. However, sometimes I don't take my purse. Only my wallet and phone. Depends on where I'm going, for how long and what I'll be doing. I would take it if I was going to work

I was wondering if the cousin who last saw them, with the son, could be the person from the previous news article about the stabbing. The missing couple's daughter was the niece of the wounded couple.

I own several purses, but I only use one at a time. I don't know of anyone who has multiple purses, set up for use at any time. JMO. Even if I go somewhere with my husband, who always drives, I always bring my purse, because I always bring my wallet with me, in case I need my insurance cards or unexpectedly need to use a different credit/debit card than my husband's. Maybe that's just me...

Me too! But I couldn't find any follow up. Interesting that the posted article was dated January 2014 but updated March 2015. Updated over a year later?
