Is what the PI said closer to the truth than some realize? Or do some realize that he is closer to the truth and that bothers people? Denial perhaps?
IMOO.

Didn't you say "truth hurts"? Have a feeling those words will ring true! Jmo

I have a feeling some serious unraveling is going to start since the PI spoke. And IMO he's really close to the truth and we are starting to see the affects of that.

Is he making statements to flush out the guilty party, or make them comfortable thinking the focus isn't on them? It's a head scratcher, for sure. :desert:

I think he's doing both...

" Luke said the detectives noticed the car was caked with dirt when they arrived, leading them to believe the car was driven on dirt roads or through the desert.

"I will find them," Luke said. "

http://www.12news.com/story/news/local/valley/2015/06/23/missing-maricopa-couple/29197091/

So, Luke calls 911 to report them missing.

Luke also finds their car about 3 hours after he reports them missing.

It seems so odd to me that now he says "he" will find them.

When I posted a link up thread about how they (Luke and others) don't think foul play occurred, yet the car was found close to home,
and Tina and Mike haven't been found...

Either maybe he KNOWS where they are, or thinks he knows where they are that's why he will find them, hence them running off...

OR, people are afraid of retaliation, so they say they don't think foul play happened... Maybe they are afraid, plain and simple.

IMOO.

The son found the vehicle or deputies found the vehicle?

June 26: http://www.kpho.com/story/29413800/authorities-still-searching-for-missing-maricopa-couple
Deputies found Michael and Tina Careccia's 2008 Honda Accord abandoned half a mile from their home a few hours after they were reported missing, said Pinal County Sheriff's spokesman Mark Clark.

I too found that curious. Assuming the family was looking everywhere for them in the area that they live before phoning the police. Was the car not there earlier and it just appeared sometime in the evening..........Or had it been there since 5am when they changed vehicle?

This case has more holes than a teabag

IMO

Forgive me if this has been mentioned.....I'm just getting caught up this morning. There is a picture on the find Tina and Michael facebook page posted about an hour ago, showing the two of them. Tina is wearing what appear to be 3" or so heals. Just noting her height. Unless Michael is really tall, I can't see her as 5'8". ???

Well this link states that the son found the vehicle.

"The Pinal County Sheriff's Office was contacted and a search began. Monday night, Careccia's son Luke, from his first marriage, found the couple's car less than a mile from the home, parked along a wall that enclosed a storage yard. According to detectives, the car did not show obvious signs of foul play."

So, dirt or mud?
So, Luke or the detectives found the car?
So 5 '8 or 5' something?
So, business meeting, or work?
So active United Pilot or retired?
So accountant or not?
So missing by choice, or not?
So seen at 5am or not?
Lots of confusing information...
IMOO.
ETA:
And I mentioned Active United pilot because the son mentioned that he IS a United Pilot, in MSM. I didn't see Retired United Pilot. I assume if he is a pilot, he is retired though or not working since MSM said he is UNEMPLOYED.

If she was wearing 3" heels the day she had her drivers license photo taken, that may help explain the discrepancy.

Also, I remember when I went to get my drivers license in Arizona, myself and the lady processing everything were sitting down at her desk. She simply asked me how tall I was while I was sitting there in front of her. That information ended up on my license, and is still there to this day. She did the same thing when asking about my weight. I could have told her any height and weight I wanted to, and I don't think she would've cared. You know how excited they are about their jobs there at the DMV.

I think the information they put on a license is voluntary, based on the honor system. I don't remember seeing a measuring tape mounted to the wall or a set of scales in the office the day I was there. Imagine how many women would raise hell if they had to get on a set of scales in front of 50 strangers at the DMV, especially the "big girls".

The pilot thing takes me back to something RustyProp said about "holding up facade of being pilots, entrepreneurs and family men". Could it be he was no longer able to fly after his hand injury and kept up the facade for whatever reason?

Very true, if he had to keep up a facade, he may have kept that to himself.

I am still kind of curious if the hand accident that ended his flying career happened before or after the wedding? TIA

  • #878
I believe the scar on his hand can be seen on wedding photos

His accident was before if I remember right...
