AZ - Nick Cordova, 40, murder caught on surveillance video, Gilbert, May 27,2020

  • #281
Anyone else find it strange that the social media sites that are dedicated to trying to solve Nick's murder rarely post the picture of the suspect? You would think that that would be every other post but they seem to rarely put the suspects' picture on there.

To my knowledge, Police have only named one person of interest -- the party seen on surveillance leaving the business and then seen at a convenience store (see link below). Putting others on blast is a good way to get in trouble with libel/defamation suits.

That's who I meant by suspect. It's strange that she's only posted his picture a couple of times when she has posted many times about trying to get the case solved. If there was a person of interest in a murder I was trying to solve my main goal would be to get his picture in front of as many people as possible. The fact she's not doing that is very unusual.

Perhaps Alysha has information or a belief that someone else is directly responsible for Nick's murder. Just a thought ...

Possibly but I think there's another reason.

I've always thought the person in the image a little fish-- long gone from the US after the job was complete. After about 18 months, I didn't continue following the case closely, but don't recall if there were any leads from his image being circulated by LE, crime stoppers, etc. JMO

The day after I wrote it was unusual that the wife rarely posts the suspects photo she posted it. She seems to be pretty sure the guy at the gas station was involved in the murder. In the comments she wrote that she tried posting his photo on a group called "sis is this your man Az" which warns women of men who may be cheaters or negative in some way but her post was denied. The group has almost 90 000 members from the area so that would have been helpful, too bad they wouldn't allow the picture of the suspect to be shown.

Also, someone on her video left a good point in the comments. They wrote why would the guy on video not buy gas before the murder?

I don’t remember the details given by LE. Do we know he didn’t buy gas?

I meant why not be ready and have a full tank of gas before the murder (assuming it was planned). As far as I know the guy went in to pay for the gas but I could be wrong.

He was so brazen. It's like he knew LE wouldn't be able to find him because he was leaving the country.

The one video where she actually shows the photo of the person of interest she says to call 408-Witness instead of 480-Witness. Although, she does have the correct number written in the description of the video.

Annie Elise just released an episode about Nick’s case on YouTube for those who are interested.

Five days ago Alysha posted a picture of a red truck that she says was driven by the killers. Has this image ever been released to the public before? I can't find it anywhere else.

The truck looks similar to the stolen vehicle used in the Allyson Watterson's case.

This could explain why such a seemingly solvable case has gone so cold...

"The Arizona Attorney General's Office is reviewing allegations from a Gilbert resident that top town staff destroyed and withheld police records, including those related to criminal investigations. The case was referred to the AG's office by the Gilbert Police Department, which denies the allegations. The resident, Charisia Arnold, claims she has evidence that state laws were violated, including tampering with public records and deliberately concealing records.

This case highlights ongoing concerns about public records transparency in Gilbert, with residents previously reporting fears of retaliation for seeking records. The allegations, if true, could indicate a broader issue of improper record-keeping and potential cover-ups of criminal investigations within the town government.

Charisia Arnold filed a police report on Dec. 15 alleging "criminal misconduct" by the Gilbert Town Clerk, Town Attorney, and Town Manager, among other officials. Arnold claims she has evidence that records were deleted to conceal inadequate investigations into murders, teen violence, and other criminal cases. The police department referred the case to the AG's office, which has assigned an agent to review the allegations."

“I also believe that these record deletions were an effort to conceal inadequate and negligent investigations involving the murders of NICK CORDOVA, Rachel Hansen, cases involving teen violence, and numerous other criminal investigations.”
