Do we even have an idea what his motive was?

I'm curious about this too. It seems he made (and sold?) 3d printed guns. I'm wondering if it bordered on a fetish/ obsession and saw this opportunity to use one after his wife left to return to Phoenix. Had his military service trained him as a sniper? Wondering if anyone who knew him saw this coming.

I believe his military service was the Army National Guard, and he was an infantry soldier. Was deployed to Djibouti in April 2021. Any military service trains you how to use weapons, but I think his hobby/obsession was shooting and making 3D guns. This is a weird case for sure, I’ve been following it since it happened. Brown seemed like a relatively normal guy, married, owned a home, had a dog. Last I checked his wife was still married to him, no divorce filings I can find. Not sure if he just snapped? Pandora’s mom asked for autopsy’s to be sealed because it contains info that police have not released and it could impair the investigation? Wildy speculating, maybe the kids were on drugs or drunk and being obnoxious, as teens can be? And Brown got into some kerfuffle with them, or they were irritating him and he snapped??

The mother of Pandora Kjolsrud, an 18-year-old who was killed along with 17-year-old Evan Clark while they were camping near Mount Ord in May, is seeking to temporarily seal both teens' autopsy reports, according to a court filing.

Simone Kjolsrud petitioned to have documents authored by the Maricopa County medical examiner sealed or redacted, arguing that various details about her daughter and aspects of her personal life potentially included in such documents should remain private and outweigh the public’s right to know.

That is interesting, not sure I've seen this particular request worded that way before. But Simone is certainly entitled to do what she thinks is best - for Pandora and herself. Horrific, tragic, loss for her.

It takes "two to tango", and by extension, two can make a party. I think there could well of been an irritation factor.

But parties of two don't really get loud and obnoxious unless somebody is looking for a pretense to be "offended". A toned down party would especially be likely when the two partiers are away from their cars, or say, their home base house or apartment.

Likewise, not hunting season and the area does not have any reputation for being say, the premier fly fishing experience this side of A River Runs Through It. So, little chance of a outdoor oriented "Hey, this is my secret spot" type confrontation.

In the end, I feel that his irritation was centered on the type of coveting featured in the 10 Commandments ("Though shall not covet your neighbor's wife"). I am pretty sure that the spirit of the Ninth Commandment extends to not coveting your neighbor's girl friend as well.

In other words, irritated- then enraged because the proverbial "other guy" has an attractive girl and well poised girl. Even more enraging- she genuinely likes him.

I’m always a little horrified when an autopsy report reveals intimate details about a victim’s body. I can’t blame her for wanting to keep that private.
