Missing man's family organizing search on Saturday

“SHOW LOW — Robert Joseph McCain remains missing after disappearing on Nov. 14 near Bourdon Ranch Road. His family hopes to find him on Saturday, Dec. 1. when they are organizing volunteers for a search in the area at 8 a.m.

McCain’s home is off Bourdon Ranch Road near Roundup Drive. He suffers from dementia and has other health issues and needs medicine. McCain is 63 years old, wears glasses, is 5-foot 8 inches tall, weighs 215 pounds and has green eyes and blond/gray hair. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, jeans, a green shirt and had on brown boots.”

LAST KNOWN LOCATION WAS 8709 ROUNDUP IN SHOWLOW AROUND 3:00 PM ON NOVEMBER 14, 2018. ROBERT WAS SEEN LEAVING IN A 1998 RED FORD RANGER WITH ARIZONA LICENSE PLATE OF 941JXY. ROBERT WAS POSSIBLY WANTING TO TRAVEL TO SEE FAMILY IN TEXAS. ROBERT HAS KNOWN MENTAL ISSUES.

UPDATE ON MISSING PERSON

ROBERT JOSEPH MCCAIN

This is to update anyone with questions regarding Robert Joseph McCain.

On November 22nd Roberts vehicle was located 2.5 miles east of Bourdon Ranch Road.

On November 23rd the Navajo County Search and Rescue, Search Dogs, and Drones were used to search the area of the vehicle with no results.

Deputies continued to investigate possible leads of where Robert could be even though his vehicle was located.

On November 29th the Sheriff's Office flew the area with no results.

A search and rescue operation is planned for December 1st starting at 9 A.M. This will include the Navajo County Sheriff's Office, Navajo County Search and Rescue, White Mountain Sheriff's Posse, County Mounties, and drones.

The family of Robert is also planning a search operation on December 1st at 8 A.M. This will be separate from the Navajo County Sheriff's Office operation.

Missing man's body recovered by NCSO (copy)

Navajo County Sheriff's Office announced that the body of 64-year-old Robert Joseph McCain who had been missing since last November, was found by a man out hiking in the area off of Bourdon Ranch Road.
