Dikes was last seen in Phoenix, Arizona; the Phoenix Police Department had contact with him on September 25, 1993. His family last saw him in San Diego, California sometime in 1990. He has never been heard from again. San Diego police are investigating Dikes's case; few details are available.

Phoenix Police made contact with him on the actual day of his disappearance? That seems kinda odd. I wish we had more context—I haven't been able to find any. Did Robert call the police to report suspicious activity? Did the police stop Robert because he was acting suspicious? Were police going door to door in the area for some reason, and they just happened to talk to him? What was that contact about? This could go in so many directions.

Also, the detail about his family last seeing him in San Diego three years prior seems kinda bizarre to include. If he moved away and neither party was able to visit each other, then of course that would be the last time they saw him. Had they also not heard from him in all that time? I know not all families are super close, but if there was zero contact for three years, then maybe there's more to that.

The weird part about the identification is that Robert was supposedly last in contact with the Phoenix Police on September 25, 1993...but the body that was only recently identified as his was discovered on July 6, 1993.

If he is UP2068, then authorities were way off about the height.

The weird part about the identification is that Robert was supposedly last in contact with the Phoenix Police on September 25, 1993...but the body that was only recently identified as his was discovered on July 6, 1993.

Oh, dang.. I hadn't noticed the time discrepancy. Now I am not that sure about UP2068 being identified as Robert Dikes. It's rare that the profiles for two unrelated older cases be removed in such a short time frame, and I assumed it was a match.. It's still possible that Roberts DLC is wrong, but being off by 3 months seems a bit much to me..

Yeah I would be shocked if Robert and UP2068 (987UMAZ) were the same person. I agree that they look nothing alike. UP2068 appears to be on the older side of the 25-45 age range given by the FBI.

For them to be the same man, I think the police report of Robert last being seen on September 25, 1993 would have to be in error. Maybe that's possible, especially since the report has no further info or follow-up. Robert and his family also had no contact for three years prior, so it's not like one of them could say they spoke to him after UP2068 was found on July 6, 1993.

I think it's just coincidence that both Arizona men had their pages removed at the same time.
