Got this today FYI...

"I am not certain that we can exclude Dana from being the Jane Doe from 2005 (Namus UP # 6771) as there may be a problem with the family reference sample for Dana. The DNA lab is aware of this issue and steps are being taken (per Dana's sister) to rectify the problem.

The person who you responded to was just quoting an email they received from Bruce Anderson many years ago. This is his actual contact information. I've heard from others that he's very responsive and helpful even with inquires from the unrelated public, so as a family member of a missing person you should be able to get ahold of him easily and have all your questions answered.

Although she obviously can't be this person since they were identified as somebody else (Betsy Ann Cole), there's a lot of unidentified bodies all across Arizona.

EDIT; I also see in NamUs that this body was ruled out as being your sister before she was identified. To see exlcusions, you have to live in the US and make a NamUs account.

Since your sister was reported missing out of Maricopa County, a question like this would be better directed to the investigators there. Here's the contact info for the police department (taken from the missing person's NamUs profile) and the medical examiner (who handles all the unidentified cases); The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Your sister also has her own dedicated discussion thread here; AZ - AZ - Dana Elaine Becker, 34, Phoenix, 17 July 2000

EDIT; These are the bodies that have been excluded as being your sister. The resolved case from Virginia makes me think that they do have a useable DNA profile for her because Virginia posts all their automatically made DNA exclusions;

Had a hard time following this thread after a while concerning the origin. Seems like she was identified a while ago.
Tried to post the link but it went wonky. Anyway, here is the text from unidentified wiki:
Betsy Ann Cole was a woman found buried in the desert near Interstate 19 in Sahuarita, Arizona, in 2005. Her body had been wrapped in a multicolored floral sheet and matching quilt.

Her NamUs profile was removed in or before March 2018, and the Pima County Medical Examiner later confirmed her identity. Her case number is 05-01214.

Clothing and accessories

"Last seen alive: April 19, 1996
Circumstances
: Betsy left her dog with her parents on 04/19/96
and said she was going to the Pima County Fair and then to a
local motel, and would return for her dog the following day."
...
her vehicle was "recovered at 3640 S 16th Ave in Tucson AZ
on 06/17/96."

My Note: 3640 S 16th Ave, Tucson AZ, in 1996 and now, is the
'Santa Cruz Plaza Shopping Mall' which has a large open-air
exterior carpark.
It is located next to the intersection of Arizona State Highway
86 (SR86) and north & south running Interstate 19 (I-19).
