Cypros--You brought up an excellent point. It is extremely difficult to boot a disruptive student from college. My daughter-in-law is an English professor and she's dealt with some doozies. Many colleges will bend over backwards to serve a student, even to the detriment of others in the class.

I have to wonder about him being disruptive and making nonsensical statements in class. Tourette's possibly or the beginnings of psychosis?? His high school classmates just talk about him being a loner. I don't recall them saying that he make nonsensical statements. Also the info from the young woman who said she had been in ASL with Loughner. Is he deaf? He doesn't sound like the type of person who would be studying to work with the hearing impaired.

He seemed to only admire those who are highly literate. He also mentions mentions repeatedly the subject of grammar. That word is hardly used any more. I found that odd. It was almost as if he was stuck at a 3rd grade level--when grammar is studied. A number of the books he sites as favorites are middle school level classics and while fine literature....easily read.

What an irony because each of his victims were almost surely highly literate...including the little girl.

Mom of Christina..... Roxanna Green on FOX news right now.

WOW...amazing interview and amazing mom....the interview link will most likely be available on the Fox website shortly.

I didn't see her, but it's truly amazing she is able to talk to the media today. She must be devastated to lose her precious daughter in such a senseless manner. MOO

FBI agent talking about motivation of the shooter. Question i believe was asked regarding hate speech etc. Agent said he does not know of what motive for this shooter. But to answer question online websites pose more of a problem for them than it used to when dealing with these types of individuals.

Paraphraised by a person with really bad hearing and listening through a soup can.

How close did he live to Safeway? Is it possable he walked? Could he have concealed his weapon and extra ammo from someone either walking or if he got a ride?

Sheriff unloading about the current political climate in AZ. Constant negative daily bombardment affects people especially those that are unstable.

Again, paraphraised by me as I caught this mid rant and can't hear. And that's all I'm gonna say without going downstairs. lol.

I think five miles. Tucson, IIRC has a good bus system. IMO, Everything he had would fit in a few pockets.

May the families of the victims find some measure of peace. May there bodies and minds find comfort and be filled with memories of their loved ones that give them the knowledge that they are safe and free from any further pain or suffering.

For those who are injured, facing trying recoveries, may they find the courage and strength to fight and regain their lives.

May our Father in heaven keep them all safe and heal their bodies and minds.

mankato--Thank you for posting the article about the heroic actions of Daniel Hernandez. The 20 year old college junior had just starting interning for Giffords last week. His quick thinking and calm actions most likely saved the woman's life.

We need to celebrate the fact that such a young man could be so brave (he went towards the gunfire) and in the blink of an eye, put other's safety before his own. In light of the fact that we're dealing with a young man who has committed evil acts, it's vital to remember how many truly good people are out there.

Bless that dear and kind young man.

Does anyone find the irony here? God bless you Daniel Hernandez.

Yes, Giffords is the first Jewish representative from the state of Arizona. I had no idea just how ugly some in the community had been to her. It reminded me of the nastiness of the school integration years of the 60s.

You just know that Loughner walked past these signs and took them all in.
