Just looking back at the article where the "toys" detail comes from, here's the quote:

Earlier this week Allred said a quail hunter called the sheriff’s office around noon Monday to say he’d found a bag near Artesia Road and suspected a dead child was inside of it because there were toys next to it. ... [Undersheriff] McCormies said he has since learned the body was actually in a tarp.

The hunter thought the body was in a "bag", but it was actually a tarp. Sounds like his observation skills might not be the most reliable (maybe because he was - understandably - panicked about finding a body). He saw something he reported as "toys", but for all we know it could have been random junk, or a shoe, or a mask or accessory from the Halloween costume.

I wonder if LE will release photos of the alleged items found nearby, besides the sweatshirt and robe.

You'd think they would, right? That makes me think the "toys" were determined to be unrelated, or it was a complete misidentification/misquote.

Okay I don't know if this is just me but didn't we think she had a bit longer hair but the killer had cut it? In the sketch they show her with complete short hair but the clippings looked a bit longer... Do you think the "clippings" were just pieces of hair falling out when she started to decompose?

They certainly could be.

They certainly could be.

Yeah, I think that is what they are. Namus lists the body as going through decom. and purification. I did some research and the body's hair falls out during decom.

I tried to look up some of the girls on its.evey's list on NamUs, but they weren't there. I wonder if some are no longer missing...

I know Rhode Island is very far from Arizona, but imo Rayenelle Crockett looks A LOT like the sketch police released, she looks very similar, but in her pictures she has long hair.
Amazing job doing this list!!!

False alarm, Rayenelle Crockett is alive and no longer missing, I saw her Facebook.

I'm not sure about NCMEC's process for removing the posters when someone is located. Some of the girls in that list have been found and are safe. Need to go through them individually and search to see if they are still missing.

The first name on the list: Natalie Roloff was located a week after she was reported missing: Missing 16-year-old Kansas girl found safe in Colorado, police say

Oh okay, I hadn't seen anything about Rayenelle so just ignore her on the newer list. I wasn't able to fit all of the pictures of the other girls so I will make a new list part 2.

  • #155
Just confirming-- these are the girls who are known to be missing?

Yes, all expect Rayenelle to my knowledge. I had looked up if each of them had been found and got no results but other people are having better luck in finding if one of the missing girls have been found safe.

I'm not very sure about Kourtney because I was reading and it seems as if she has been back and fourth in foster homes, so maybe she had just ran away so she wouldn't have to deal with that anymore.

Agreed it's a weird location. My guess was she was a runaway and someone traveling, from the local area, picked her upland killed her or it was a family murder who knows the area.

My family lives in New Mexico -- there are few reasons to be in that area.

Agree that she is likely a runaway or fell in with risky people.

Wonder how much we'll ever know?

I've heard that people from other parts of the world travel to Mexico, in order to cross the border into the US undocumented.

But the likely Halloween costume doesn't really support that idea.
