Hey Puzzleworth thank you for the thorough answer and for looking into the coordinates.

I don't know much about the survival aspects of being in a bunker so I can't comment on all the amenities it is supposed to have visible on the outside, when I looked into them these past few days I saw so many different kinds so it was difficult to really get a sense of what exactly one looks like other than it being partially underground which is what made this so difficult for me to figure out.

I'm looking at what I assume you're talking about and it seems likely based on the shape, it's just strange to me how low to the ground they look compared to other things I would assume would be shorter in the area (like the water tank) which have much more of a proportional shadow if you look at the coordinates where AJD was found. I agree you're probably right about what I thought of as stairs being a trough, looking at this picture I found it looks very similar to what I saw, which makes me think whatever these structures are, are most likely related to farming. Thank you for breaking it down for me.

On another note, the point you bring up about the nearby prisons and heavy LE presence is interesting and makes this all the more stranger for me. I think it is extremely strange that the person left her somewhere she would obviously been found as opposed to ... literally anywhere else because the area is pretty desolate like you said. It seems like they wanted her to be found eventually which is very odd to me. I also find it odd that it was a quail hunter and not the rancher who found her? I'm sure he has been thoroughly questioned (at least I hope so) but it makes me wonder how often the rancher is in that area and checks the float box she was found in, that would give a better idea of when she was put there.

About the person who found her, he might’ve used the unnamed road, where the float box was located, as a spot to park to hunt. If he did he could’ve smelled her body since it was in decomposition. I estimated the time that she died to be about three weeks, but since she was found it water it could be a lot longer since water slows down the process of decomposition.

Here is that article that was behind a paywall that seems to be the most updated info I could find (July 5th 2021 is when the article was updated it says) I bolded some of the newer information I saw

ARTICLE:
"The Graham County Sheriff’s Office has released sketches of a young murder victim whose body was found last October in the hopes someone will come forward and identify her.
A man hunting quail in the Artesia area found human remains submerged inside a 4-foot by 2-foot float box, which is part of a livestock watering system.
Originally, authorities suspected the remains belonged to a girl or woman between 14 and 22, but are now saying she was likely 13-15-years-old.
Although authorities aren’t releasing how she died, they have determined she was the victim of a homicide, Sheriff P.J. Allred said at the time.

No one matching the victim’s description has been reported missing in the Gila Valley.
With the assistance of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner, based on measurements and other information known at this time, a likeness was generated to the possible appearance of the female victim. Those sketches were released to the media Monday and put on the center’s website. The center has also posted photos of the victim’s clothing onto its website.
The FBI has also used the victim’s hair and blood to create a DNA profile. Experts will also be analyzing the trace evidence found on the woman’s clothing and on the toys found near her body, said Undersheriff Jeff McCormies.
The Graham County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone with information that could help identify the victim to call the general number for the Sheriff’s Office (928) 428-3141 or use Text a Tip at 79516."

Thanks, I haven't seen that article before. Interesting to see confirmation from LE that there were "toys found near her body". Earlier news reports mentioned that the guy who found the body said he saw toys nearby, but not that LE confirmed it. I had speculated that someone was mistaken - either the media was wrong, or the guy mistook some clothes or junk for toys - because it seemed odd that they haven't released pictures or a description of the toys. But the Undersheriff's comment confirms it.

I do wonder why we haven't heard more about the toys; surely there's a chance it could help identify her (or her killer).

I was wondering the same thing, especially given the age range it would be nice to have some sort of specifier.

I don’t know if anyone else has read this article from 5/25/2021 but it states that “She was reportedly found wearing a witch's gown. Reports also explain that a hooded sweater was also found near the body”. If this is true, it disputes our thought of her being wrapped in the witch’s gown. She could have been wrapped further with it while she was wearing it.

I thought maybe she attended an (early) Halloween party (thus dressed in the gown/costume). But, the description (putrefaction) of her body made me think she had been in the trough quite awhile... or maybe the decomp was more rapid than I imagine. Also, could the "toys" actually be Halloween party favors? Or could there have been some wicca happenings (festivals, gatherings, etc) in the area just prior to Oct 26 which was (I think) a Monday?? I'm really leaning towards early Halloween party somewhere in the area due to estimated young age... but no one locally has reported her missing :(

That’s what I had originally thought as well. I know bodies take longer to decompose in water. However, they do decompose faster in hotter and humid climates. Arizona, as most of us know, is known for being super hot in the desert areas. Since she was found in a small water tank there would be water but not in a large enough amount to slow the decomposition rate.

I have been following this case for some time, I can't stop thinking about it. I submitted a possible match as Jasmine Altenbrun who went missing not long before and not far away. I found the physical resemblence to be fairly close. What do you think?

I checked Namus, there are a lot of girls with this age range who disappeared with no pictures in the profiles, it could be one of them; strangely no one recently missing from Arizona, so she's probably a girl from a neighboring state or another state.

Agreed. Especially one who ran off from a foster home or girls home.

NEW EXCLUSION:

Riley Amaro from Los Angeles, CA.

It seems she has been found since her NCMEC profile has been removed. I had suggested her in the beginning of this thread, so I am glad she is not our Jane Doe and I am assuming live and well.
