Sorry I haven’t been active on here, I have been busy with schooling and my Namus account keeps acting up on me.

I was doing a regular google search on our Jane Doe again and SUPPOSIVELY her age range has now been extended to being a max of 22 years of age.

If I am being honest, I was looking at the recons again today and she does appear to be on the older side of the teenage years/early 20s.

I was also considering looking at registered sex offenders in the area as well.

Random thought-- I wonder if there are any ranches or homesteads nearby where they host events. Like maybe a Halloween party that got out of control?

Where did you read that she may be up to 22? NamUs and NCMEC both say 13-17 still.

Graham County’s Jane Doe And Her Killer Are Still Unidentified One Year Later

Jane Doe was found Oct. 26 partially submerged in a livestock float box near the rural Graham County community of Artesia. Sheriff’s investigators continue to have the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner withhold key autopsy findings, something Detective Sgt. Mark Smith told Arizona Daily Independent remains necessary one year later to avoid compromising the active homicide investigation.

Earlier this year, images of what Jane Doe may have looked like in life -Caucasian, about 5’ 1” tall with short light brown hair cut short- were released courtesy of a facial reconstruction commissioned by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
(Snipped and bolded for focus)
This poor girl is often on my mind. Re-reading some of the old articles today, the bolded part jumped out at me. Glad to hear that there is an active homicide investigation. Also means that autopsy showed that she was, in fact, murdered. Rules out speculation that she may have overdosed and was dumped by companions out of fear and ignorance.

I’m not seeing anything about her possibly being older than 17.

Alicia Navarro, 9/15/2019, Maricopa, AZ

It was suggested/posted on non-governmental pages. As I stated prior, I’m not sure these are accurate.

I still think it's Annalee Lokrantz.

I really hope Artesia Jane Doe gets her identity back.
Some of Annalee's YouTube playlists were updated in December 2020

Also, Annalee's mom posted a video on YouTube in January...it's interesting, to say the least...I don't think she's missing anymore
Her name is Audra

Wow, that video is concerning. I hope Annalee is doing okay.

It's strange how often young people are listed as missing on NamUs despite having social media updates after their missing date. There was an example on the previous page of this thread with Jozelyn/Jocelyn Walker. I also ran across a girl from Arizona whose NamUs states she went missing in 2016 - she hasn't been mentioned in this thread so I looked into her as a possibility for this Jane Doe, but I didn't post about it because I found her social media profiles which had been active regularly from 2018 to 2021.

Great to see that they're likely safe, of course, but it's odd that LE doesn't do more to follow up and remove the listings. With the Arizona girl I mentioned, her social media even lists where she was studying and working after she went missing, so it doesn't seem like she would be hard to find.

When you find things like that, it's probably a good idea to report it to the agency listed in the flier, so they can have the flier taken down.

Yeah, I'm just wary of interfering because I don't know the person's story - many young people become runaways because their home situation is abusive, and they may prefer not to have police alert their estranged family members about them. I would hate to cause any problems for the "missing" person, especially in cases where they're now an adult and seem to be doing OK.

Yeah, that's a concern, for sure.

Though if they've got public social media, it's unlikely that they're hiding?

I don’t like referring her as Artesia Jane Doe. I was thinking of this nickname- Halloween Haley. It’s disturbing that nobody knows who this teenager is. She could be an adult in the 18-20 range.

There is a new Missing Person in NamUs, a 14-year-old who went missing on October 14, 2020. Red hair, listed as at least 5'5", probably not a match so I don't want to put her name on here. Just in case -
NamUs #MP89206
Her initials are MB.

The Girl's height is between 5' 5" - 5' 7", so it could not match, however it is not too much to send her to at least be discarded.

Namus link: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

She's not on the UID's list of ruleouts.

The height difference doesn't seem to be enough to rule her out. The timeline--14 October to 26 October--seems good, but depending on how decomposed her remains were, might not be enough time. Hair color, I'm not sure about. She looks dyed blonde, not red or sandy.

Facial resemblance seems strong.

I think it's worth submitting! Since there's no PMI I do think ~10 days of decomposition is possible, especially since it seems like Arizona was warm (25-30C) around that time in Oct.
Also, that photo might be old, I'm sure if she was still blonde that would be reflected on NamUs, but they specifically have it listed as 'red/auburn'.

More on MB... if you search her name on FB you'll find that she also went missing in September 2020, I guess came back, and according to comments on her FB page was placed in a foster home, then ran away again in Oct. Her page does provide a better look at her natural hair color though, which appears to be sandy blonde, and would align with the UID.

Foster home - poor girl hasn't had it easy. I hope she's safe. Maybe they suspected (or still suspect) she went to be with relatives? Otherwise she should have been in NamUs sooner :( IMO
