Silver Alert: Police looking for missing Scottsdale woman

Police in Scottsdale are looking for a woman who has been missing since Wednesday, Feb. 6.

According to information from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, 79-year-old Sondra Engstrom was last seen at her residence as she was leaving for an appointment that she failed to make.

Engstrom was driving a blue 2008 Lexus E35 with Arizona license 354VRM. A person put gas in her car when her credit card was declined at a Circle K in northern Phoenix on Thursday morning.

"The witness told police that she seemed confused, Watts added. Engstrom also attempted to use her credit card throughout the Valley overnight.

She was described as a 5-foot-4 woman with short, gray hair, green eyes and was wearing glasses.

Engstrom was last seen wearing black pants, a gold button-up shirt, a dark-colored jacket and dark shoes. She suffers from memory loss."

This poor lady has been driving aimlessly around the valley all night. Thank goodness she keeps trying to use her credit card. On the radio it sounds as though she has attempted at several places. The Silver Alert billboards were not showing active this morning at 4 a.m. when I was driving in the area she was seen getting gas. Wish they were, because I was just a couple of blocks from the gas station she was at.

I am fearing that she ended up driving out into the desert or mountains. The area she was at this morning was the route to Flagstaff. They had a bunch of snow up there yesterday. I would imagine that if she needed gas that she has run out by now, wherever she ended up.
