"On 04-29-02 at 1330 hours, ms. V arrived at the home. I told her that i was investigating the death of a young female that was discovered behind a business in tempe. I told her that with the body, we found a cd case and that one of the compact disks had her fingerprint on it. I asked her if she listens to compact disks. She told me that she does. She then entered her van and removed a case of compact disks. The cd case was a black, nylon case with the brand name "case logic" printed on the front. This was the exact same type of case that was found at the scene. When i opened the case, i found that the brand name and type of music inside the case were very similar to the cd's that were found at the scene. I asked ms. V if this was the only cd case that she owned. She told me that she has a second case very similar to this one, although, her boyfriend, e t, has it with him. She said that she has been dating mr. T for the last year and that she is 7 months pregnant with his child. She said that they are currently living together in an apartment, located at xxxx e. Lemarche st. #🤬🤬🤬 in phoenix. She said that their apartment is in the area of 29th st and greenway rd. In north phoenix. Ms. V told me that she was with mr. T on friday night (04-26-02) at approximately 9:00 p.m. She said that she had received a telephone call from mr. T at approximately 8:30 p.m., asking her to pick him up at a check cashing store, located at 35th ave. And thomas rd. In phoenix. Mr. T told her that he had been visiting friends in the area of 35th ave. And thomas rd. And he needed a ride home. She agreed to pick him up at the check cashing store. Ms v arrived at the store at 9:00 p.m. They then drove to 19th ave. And southern ave in phoenix, so that they could pick up two of ms. V's daughters, ages 6 years and 3 years old, who were staying with family members. They picked up her daughters at 9:30 p.m. The four of them then drove to ms. V's sister's house, located at 13th st. And pecan st. In phoenix, where they dropped off her 6 year old daughter. They stayed at the house for approximately 10 minutes and then left with the 3 -year-old daughter.

They then drove to their apartment, located at xxxx e. Lemarche st. #🤬🤬🤬 in phoenix, arriving at 10:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found that the front door was standing wide open and thought that they had been burglarized. Mr. T entered the apartment and found nothing had been disturbed or missing. After finding the door open, ms. V and mr. T became concerned for their safety and decided that they would stay at a hotel for the evening. They decided to stay at the park palace hotel, located at 28th st. And van buren st. In phoenix. They woke up the next morning at 9:00 a.m. And returned to their apartment at 3:00 p.m. I asked ms. V if she knew the names of mr. T's friends that he was with on friday night. She told me that she had no idea because mr.t will not give her that information. She said that he is very possessive and gnes her only limited information. The only information that she had about friday night, was that he was with friends and that they were in either tempe or mesa. She said that she is very concerned that their cd case was found next to a deceased woman and wanted to question him about this."

wow this story just keeps on getting more and more interesting if that is the word for it!

Thank you so much, fmw!!! Can't wait to see more ;)! But I do have a couple of comments/questions based on what you have provided thus far:

Mr. T sounds like a 🤬🤬🤬. I sure hope LE continues to keep an eye on him. And I would very much like to know if any testing of the "unidentified" bodily fluids found on her or the rape kit tied back to him. Did they even complete those tests? Could they have asked him for a DNA swab when they were questioning him?

He claims they spoke totally in Spanish, which would indicate she was not NA.

He says she told him her mom had "just" thrown her out for doing drugs. This tends to support my feeling that it was a very recent event and is what leads me to believe she is from the area. This makes me wonder if her story was ever publicized? Even if her mother didn't - and probably still wouldn't - come forward, someone knew her name!

I realize that we - and LE - have only Mr. T's story to go by. But even if she didn't die by his hand, why wouldn't he and his cocaine dealing buddy have been accountable for providing her with the drugs on which she OD'd? I sure hate to think there are no consequences for getting someone high enough to die and then just tossing them out in a parking lot like a piece of garbage. :furious:

I think it is curious that she just waved to him from the side of the road and he pulled over and picked her up...there is definitely more to the story than he is telling. I wonder if he knew her already? FMW--you have his full name. Is he still in the US, or did he go back to Mexico? He was illegal, I wonder if she was too.

"WHEN MR. T AND THE UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE ARRIVED AT THE SEVEN-ELEVEN, R SAT IN THE BACK SEAT, THE UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE WAS SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND MR. T WAS DRIVING. R REQUESTED THAT THEY DRIVE AROUND THE AREA, WHILE THE FEMALE SAMPLED THE COCAINE. R THEN HANDED THE FEMALE "AN EIGHT BALL" OF COCAINE. THE FEMALE USED A DOLLAR BlLL AND ROLLED IT UP AND USED IT AS A STRAW. SHE THEN SNORTED SOME OF THE COCAINE INTO HER NOSE MR T SAlD THAT HE AND R DID NOT USE ANY OF THE COCAINE AND THAT THE FEMALE SNORTED THE COCAINE ALONE. AFTER SNORTING THE COCAINE, SHE STARTED TO GO INTO CONVULSIONS AND APPEARED TO BE OVERDOSING. , AT APPROXIMATELY 8:00 P.M., R AND MR T BECAME SCARED AND DECIDED TO DROP OFF THE FEMALE. THEY DROVE BEHIND A BUSINESS, A SHORT DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SEVEN-ELEVEN STORE AND PULLED HER OUT OF THE FRONT SEAT OF THE CAR AND THEN LAID HER DOWN ON THE GROUND. HE SAID THAT THE FEMALE WAS ALIVE, BECAUSE SHE WAS STILL MOVING. MR T AND R THEN RETURNED TO THE SEVEN-ELEVEN STORE, WHERE HE DROPPED OFF R. AS R WAS GETTING OUT OF THE CAR, MR. T TOLD HIM TO CALL 911 FOR THE FEMALE, WHILE MR. T CALLED HIS COUSIN O. MR. T TOLD O THAT HE NEEDED A RIDE AND REQUESTED THAT HE PICK HIM UP AT THE SEVEN- ELEVEN STORE. A SHORT TIME LATER, O WAS DROPPED OFF AT THE STORE, BY AN UNKNOWN SUBJECT. O THEN DROVE MR. T TO THE CHECK CASHING STORE IN THE AREA OF 32ND ST. AND THOMAS RD. AND DROPPED HIM OFF. O TOOK MR. "MR. T SAID THAT THE FEMALE WAS NOT CARRYING ANY PROPERTY AND ONLY HAD AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF CASH WITH HER. HE SAID THAT HE DID NOT THINK THAT THE FEMALE WAS A PROSTITUTE AND THAT THERE WERE NEVER ANY SEX ACTS THAT OCCURRED BETWEEN THEM. HE SAID THAT HE DID NOT EVEN KISS HER. WHEN DET. W TOLD MR. T THAT THERE APPEARED TO BE A DRIED SEMEN STAIN ON THE FEMALE'S PANT LEG, HE SAID THAT HE HAD NO IDEA HOW THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED. MR. T WAS ALSO ASKED WHY THE PANTS ON THE DECEASED FEMALE WERE PARTIALLY DOWN. HE SAID THAT WHEN SHE INITIALLY STARTED HAVING CONVULSIONS, HE UNBUTTONED HER PANTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF HELPING HER BREATHE MORE EASILY. THIS WAS THE ONLY INFORMATION THAT MR. T RELATED TO DET. W. THE CASSETTE TAPE OF THIS INTERVIEW WAS IMPOUNDED AS EVIDENCE ON 05-09-02 AT 1200 HOURS IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT ON 04-30-02 AT 1000 HOURS, I OBTAINED A COPY OF THE 911 CALL THAT WAS PLACED FROM THE PAY TELEPHONE AT THE SEVEN-ELEVEN STORE ON 04-26-02 AT 2015 HOURS. WHEN THE CALL TAKER ASKED WHAT THE EMERGENCY WAS, A MALE SUBJECT RESPONDED, BUT HIS WORDS WERE UNINTELLIGIBLE. THE CALL TAKER THEN ASKED, "ARE YOU OK", THE MALE CALLER REPLIED, "YEP." THE CALL TAKER THEN ASKED, "WHAT'S GOING ON THERE?' THE CALLER THEN HUNG UP THE TELEPHONE. A CASSETTE TAPE COPY OF THE 91 1 CALL WAS IMPOUNDED AS EVIDENCE ON 05-09-02 AT 1200 HOURS.

ON 05-30-02, I RECEIVED A TELEPHONE CALL FROM DR. M, FROM THE MEDICAL EXAMINER'S OFFICE. HE TOLD ME THAT THE TOXICOLOGY REPORT WAS COMPLETED ON THE UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE. HE SAID THAT THE RESULTS INDICATE A VERY HIGH AMOUNT OF COCAINE IN THE HER SYSTEM. He SAID THAT THERE WAS CERTAINLY ENOUGH TO CAUSE HER DEATH. HE SAID THAT HE WOULD COMPLETE HIS ANALYSIS AND FORWARD ME HIS REPORT. HE SAID THAT BASED ON THE LISTED INFORMATION, HE BELIEVES THAT THE CAUSE OF DEATH WILL BE RULED A DRUG OVERDOSE. "

BBM - should this say there were NO matches on file? Was there any further investigation after 6-11-02?

This case has a lot of similarities to our Tawni. She was freaking out in the car? Sure she was.... And this Mr. T claims she asked if she could come live with him basically right after he picked her up, but she never offered her name? Um, ok. I must brush up on my manners. There have obviously been some major changes of which I am not aware.

Well yeah, but only mentioned that because of all of the Phoenix prostitution issues (Van Buren St.) mentioned in the Tawni case... even though Greenway & 32nd is almost 15miles away.

That's a real interesting idea...:waitasec:
But a 25-year old stopping to pick up a 17(?) year old walking down the street on a Friday evening? Not so strange.
