"On 09/08/17 at approximately 10:00 P.M., Tereina Jones was last seen leaving the St. Joseph's Hospital at 350 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix, Arizona to catch a City of Phoenix bus to go home. Tereina's family hasn't seen or heard from her since 09/08/17."

That‘s about 20 miles from the hospital. Wonder if there is a bus going in this direction?

Google Maps
There are. Also, the metro rail can get you up to the northern part of the city. I think that farthest they go is to Dunlap. Which would be about half way. But, she could have been picked up, as well.

If you click on the NAMUS map, it puts her being found in or on a building. Wonder how accurate that is?

Oh dear. I hope Ms. Jones is found safe. She has quite this mischievous smile in that photo, she'd probably be fun to hang out with.

Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun is a very car-centric place. I was born there, lived there 34 years (and lobbied many years for the rail system, which was finally put in place after I left the USA. LOL). My point is, most people have cars and what seems like a long drive to people in other states isn't considered a major trip in Phoenix and the surrounding areas. I have a hunch if the remains turn out to be Ms. Jones, someone placed her there deliberately. It's close to the canal, and the valley has a long and grisly history of bodies being found in and next to it. (Including the victims of Bryan Patrick Miller). She may have been abducted outside St. Joes and killed elsewhere, and her body placed in yet another place.

I hope this is not the case. My prayers tonight are with Tereina and all her friends and loved ones, and with whomever the remains are, if not Tereina Jones.

Oh! Also, I have no idea what that building might be. It's been nearly a decade since I was last in the Valley. is there some sort of "reverse look up" for addresses the way there used to be (and may still be) for phone numbers?

I believe it tells you the name of the business when you click on the map. But, NAMUS says desert area and that would be considered a business area IMO. So, it may be a little off.

Thank you doodles1211!

It appears to be an industrial/ commercial property, with two businesses shown. I won't name them, they can be seen when the map is enlarged. But it suggests to me a sort of place you'd have to know about, rather than stumble upon. But the question remains: were the remains found on the property or over the fence, canal side?

(Edited for clarity.)

I was thinking along the same lines. I was, also, thinking this same thing about Kiera. If someone in a trio did something they would put her somewhere known to them. Especially, if they have not lived in AZ their whole life. I have been here 4 yrs and still use my GPS often.

Whoever it is, I hope they identify her rather quickly. Someone is missing her!

OT: Seeing Johnny Lamar Brown's name in your signature chokes me up. He was one of the early cases I tracked. So good to know others still think of him and what his family has gone through... still with no answers...

I think of Johnny every day. Glad to know you think of him as well; hopefully he will be found, sooner rather than later. Someone posted about him on another forum the other day; it was the first time I'd seen him mentioned other than here at WS. It warmed my heart. So many missing are under-reported (like Tereina) and that is upsetting.

Just used my Google-fu to see if there was any news on Tereina. Nothing new. :(

It makes me sad that this young women has been missing almost one full year, and not much attention is being given to her disappearance. AZ media, where are you?

Tereina is not in NAMUS yet. Wish she was in the event the local media does absolutely nothing, which it seems might be the case.

How does one go about getting her listed on NAMUS? The fact she isn't there is upsetting.

I just submitted it. Once the Case manager looks it over and approves it.... it should be NAMUS case# MP52040.

Thank you!!!
No problem. Pretty much anyone can enter a request for someone to be added. I am hoping they check for info before submitting... like a NCIC number... and add things like that in.
