I have a feeling Tia would fight and not allow someone to have control of her finances, no matter how she chose to gain said finances. Is this an OK assumption?

I don't think she would allow someone to use her in sex trafficking and comply with the abduction. This might have made her a liability to her trafficking abductors IMHO.

Unfortunately I cannot confirm that... I can tell you Tia WAS a fighter... she was very strong willed... my youngest daughter admired the strength she saw in Tia... they did communicate for a while.

Oh... no, the photographer who took their (Tia's and K's) photos is not on her friends list... something else I found strange... I don't know if maybe he removed himself or if he ever was.

LOL Wildrose... that's cute... I am aware of these cases... there were two men arrested for human trafficking back in 2012 (?) I don't know if they were ever tied to these women. I have considered this as well. One thing that really stands out to me (and maybe it's just me) is K's statement on the site Sloane had mentioned earlier (Gila Gil) ..."I don't believe a photographer had anything to do with you being gone"... I find that very strange since she was implying it was someone Tia was supposed to have met for a shoot from the beginning (?) Maybe it's just me but also on MM K's posting on Tia's page stated "BU I WISH U WUDN OF GONE ON CRAIGSLIST I BELIEVE U WUD STILL B HERE ". She had told me that Tia and her both had met someone from CL who set them up on MM and did a couple shoots with them. So yeh, I don't know what to think... I have probably said all this before... forgive my repetitiveness... Thank you 2HIP for your thoroughness!!

omg Thought!, was she needing money ? the comment " "BU I WISH U WUDN OF GONE ON CRAIGSLIST I BELIEVE U WUD STILL B HERE" there is another reason you go on Craigslist, I hate to say it but I lived next to a girl before my hubby and I bought our house and we lived in really nice expensive apts , i always wondered what she did for a living she was about 20 had a 2 yr old lived next to me, had a nice porsche, so I finally got to know her .....and guess what she did! All thru craigslist, maybe thats what K meant.

I just came across this thread and am reading up on it. I want to let Wildheart know that my heart goes out to her and the people that loved Tia. My son is estranged from me so I know how that feels with all of its conflicting emotions. If anything happened to him, I might not know for several months. It is a fear of mine. I can just imagine what you have been through in the past several years. It is so good to hear that Tia now has a final resting place, let's hope we can help you find some justice. Now I have tears in my eyes.

I am going to go back and read through the thread and see if there is any research I can contribute.

I was actually shocked at my NDN such a sweet, good values type, in fact I babysat for her and never would have imagined what her or a few of her GF that came by did EVER!!!! and believe me it takes a whole lot to shock me, but necessity sometimes takes over, was she at that time on good terms with her Dad?

I assume we are close to the same age WH, and what seemed really bad to us at Tia's age, hate to say, doesn't seem as bad to them ??? was there a computer Tia used?

Yes, you just never know... Tia did receive some money from the tribe as per capita... not a whole lot but... her and her dad had their ups and downs... usual I think. I know my son was very upset with her pictures on MM and asked her to stop but she said she "had to make that money"... It really is a shame how things are becoming more acceptable.

Claire,I hope you reunite with him , maybe something good can come of this, Children are difficult and Spouses sometimes dont help my hubby always wanted to boot my daughter out often, this was my worst fear, no sleep for a few months! Im sorry

I'm so sorry to ask, but is there any chance she was using drugs? As we know, addictions throw out all of the rules on acceptable choices... The young ladies that I have known to go down that road as referred to earlier had addictions (sometimes created by predatory scumbags who got them hooked on purpose.)
But CL to me sounds like offers to model, act or other...

Hopefully it has nothing to do with your beautiful angel!

It is 4:15 am and I woke up with thoughts of your precious daughter that was taken from this earth too soon. I felt led to tell you, as you and I have both established our spirituality/faith with each other, that Tia is a beloved child of God and is with Him in everlasting paradise where all of the pain and entropy of this world as we know it passes away and only God's everlasting love remains. She can't wait to meet you when you make it to meet our Father someday. I know she is looking down at you and is so proud of her strong mama and would do anything to wrap her arms around you and surround you with her love.

She is playing with the butterflies in the grand prairies of heaven surrounded by all of your loved ones that have passed.

When you reunite with her, what a joyous experience that will be. You must always focus on this Positive and Divine inevitability as you did in your former post. We all, as beloved children of God, will be reunited with each other and Him.

Your daughter had a tattoo of her last name on herself. (This other "friend" of hers had a name, not sure if her own or a nickname, tatted on her as well.)

It is becoming increasingly common for girls who have become victims of sex trafficking to have their real names or nicknames given by their pimps/abductors tattooed on them as a "branding" of sorts. This raises my suspicions that your daughter might of found a male confidant (I wonder who...) that she trusted to become a pimp/"sugar daddy" of sorts and decided to work for. Once in you can't get out. These men are proficient at making girls feel like they are completely accepted into "the family" only to be abused/raped/murdered if they do not comply with or try to leave the "Sugar Daddy".

I worry imho that Tia wanted to begin her own hustle to make her own cash and leave the situation behind her, but this upset the wanna be sugar daddy that had "taken her in". These guys prey on young women who lack a solid family core or paternal connection. Many rescued from sex trafficking have similar biographical backgrounds to Tia.

So yeah.... Those tattoos. Sorry I went on a tangent there.
